I've been playing with a friend's P910i,ectually he asked me to charge it for him since he doesn't have a charger and I must say the colours are way much better than those of my P800.Watching a movie is really enjoyable. And I also found that it's not much different from P800 except for the colours and a few pre-loaded softwares.I really enjoyed watching Half Past Dead which Stars JaRule & Steven Segal on it.But I'm not gonna buy one.I'll get myself a UIQ 3 handset.

Francois. Are you genuinely trying to suggest that your evening news bulletin plays on your creative strings&inspires you to find solutions to crime&unemployment? If so you must be a Murphey-grade optimist...

The negative feedback system of our media is its inherent flaw. It destroys society. The media has never been based on freedom of speech; we fail to realise that societies emulate their media similar to the way we emulate our thoughts. Calling the media freedom is often like calling murder a freedom.

Almost got tempted yesterday while out the Waterfront by this tiny LG KG320 which is tri-band but comes without EDGE otherwise it looks brilliant, reasonable keypad, 256k colours, very thin, 128MB internal memory, 1.3mp camera. All for R1900.

@ da brixsta,

And it's got Bluetooth.
Dinky dimensions: 96mmx46mmx9.9mm.

What has been tempting me, greatly, is the SPV M600's that esato seller 'scom' is selling.
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=131968

These things are virtually identical to the Qtek S200, but with Orange branding.

Now then, scom is selling them for £210 (approx R2900) delivered.
These things have the sliding qwerty keyboard opening along the entire length of the phone, plus the beloved stylus input.
They have 2mp cameras, run on Windows 5.0 (which is not my fave, but can live with), as well as WIFI and EDGE, etc...for half the price of a P990i.

Tempting indeed...

The only fly in the ointment is the Orange branding and locking, and possible settings concerns. They can be unlocked and fortunately this one doesn't have too much/excessive Orange branding. However, there's no ways I'm using Orange PAYG for my main phone; O2 online, T-Mobile, Mobile World and Tesco make a mockery of Orange and Vodafone's ridiculous PAYG costs.
I need to find out from the other networks if they have all the WAP/GPRS settings etc. for the Qtek/ M600 though, before I contemplate this handset any further.

@ psycho, cant to think about it, i dont really watch the news. in fact, i may not even remember the shape of a tv...the one thing that negative rule applies to is people and what they went through. real stories by real people. i simply do not have time for the media these days.

What I liked about this phone is that it's so tiny and light (>70g). It's all nice but generally I don't like LG phones, don't know if things have improved from a year ago when they released their first music phone in SA.

A happy 5th birthday today, Sony Ericsson!

Thanks wanqa...Just recently got Firefox 2.0 Beta and it's way better than IE...although I've seen there's also a new version of IE which includes things like tabbed browsing.

@francois: I also love that feature...another one is spell check...it checks your spelling as you type and it can either correct you or you can add your unique words to the built-in dictionary.

And so we march into the 500th page of this happenin' thread.

Woohoo! I've just switched on my T610, and my Mobile World sim has been re-activated by customer services. I was not holding my breath too much regarding Mobile World getting the number back from O2, and in half the estimated time as well.

Fiddling with the 3230 with the light filtering through the blinds in the bedroom, with the T610 propped up against the bedroom's cd player:
Not a bril pic, but fun experimenting with light and shadows etc.

That little LG's not at all available here, not even on eBay at the moment.

There may be the odd one around by some obscure independent cellphone importer, but I'm surprised at its relatively total absence from the UK market.

The UK's Carphone Warehouse are dropping prices again; the long-serving 6230i is now £89.95 (approx R1260) and an unlocked n' unbranded W810i now goes for just under £170 (approx R2380), both when bought with £10 airtime.
The W300i is just under £100 (approx R1400).

The Link sells W810i's for around £20 less, but they'll need unlocking. Not a train-smash at this price though:
