It's not like you really need the darned thing to run at 2.3GHz anyways for stellar performance. I'd much rather sacrifice that performance boost for better battery life anyways.
So ramu, your sources mention anything about the xenon flash? |

Yes but don't have 100% confirmation yet.
Though it most likely will, when you have a HUGE sensor it is OBVIOUS that Xenon flash WILL be included. |

Excellent! So I'll get Honami and sell my RX100
Well, it seems that July will be the announce window for Japan at least for some of these things. Are we now expecting Togari and Honami to both show up at that event? If so, I'm wonder if we'll see the watch and net tablet there too, or if they'll wait for IFA for that. |

Don't worry about flash. It will have a powerful flash, Xenon or not. They might use Plasma Flash as well, which was used in Japanese Cybershot cameras.
Although, you shouldn't believe my "fantasies" you know

Ramu stop with your day dreams and give us facts!!
Heh, xenon, plasma... as long as it's a helluva lot better than standard LED flashes I'm good. BTW, which Cybershots had a plasma flash?
On a side note, how the hell does Sony manage to make something like this that's waterproof down to 16 feet and also drop proof to 5 feet, but the phones can't do that? Funny enough though, the sensor in that handycam is 1/3.91" which is even tinier than the Xperia Z, let alone the rumored sensor on the Homani.

I just can't understand how a phone with such large sensor will be thin, it's a fact that with current technology you can't have a large sensor with slim profile unless when you use mechanical lens assembly like point and shoot cameras...
and having such a mechanical thing will mean much slower first shot...

The Pureview 808 was 13.9mm, so if the Homani is roughly 10mm give or take, it's easily plausible for it to have a sensor like that. If it's Exmor RS, then it's very easily possible. |
