Okay, on closer inspection, the icons have a few white-ish pixels on the edges which is not transparent, the result being that it looks slightly crap on the black background, but I feel like a man again...I stared into the mirror for longer than a minute this morning...i blame the butterfly skin....

The skins I made for Mxit v.3 was so much better in regard to my icons being nearly perfect and different. You could not change the top and bottom bar though.

Look at the highlight bar for the main window. Sometimes its dark blue with small horizontal dashes, other times its lighter blue, but the worst is when it appears to be inverted - the original design i think.

A mxit skin creator? But what happened to buying the skins and feeding the mxit team? I must say, ive had immense fun with my theme creator so im not complaining. Especially if all their skins are as supercool as Butterfly.

@ psycho, you are such a girl! lol! Yeah, the theme creator is in the pipeline, but they said it will be limited to the basics, and there will be a transfer cost. The other thing was, and there is still high speculation about this, putting the skins that users make up ad selling them, and the users get 50% and mxit gets 50%..I think it is fair...the guy who makes a J lo theme will make 50k instantly from all the brothas out there...never mind the ferrari theme...I plan to make a darker gothic looking theme if I can...Otherwise an abstract one...

Its called sarcasm! The butterfly theme really sucks. And hey, at least i have an excuse for downloading a skin named butterfly... You dont!

If parents thought mxit v3 encouraged promiscuity they are really going to be up in arms if users are given the opportunity to upload their created skins!

@ jmash, usually you have that setting in the phones application settings or something outside of the app. But yeah, I don't know if anyone has gotten it working on the p range...let me go check...

Can't get a true answer, but go check out the following:

@jmash: I had a similiar problem when tried to connect to MXit from my trusted old P910...it just would not connect and after several days of attempting to connect I finally gave up and removed Mxit alltogether, settling instead for the likes of AgileMessenger and Verichat (bloody good app).

I am sure there are msn-like apps that might do a good job, or something else that you can use to connect to Mxit friends. Msn is just sucky in the sense that it needs your friends to have msn accounts and add it to mxit...do not know how well that works.

Well folks at least I gave it a try!I guess I'll have to remove it from my system & start looking for a similar app.
Thanx guys!
Did anybody notice that this week was a Life Sentence Week. Most of the high profile case prisoners were given life sentences this whole week, especially the two fools who murdered the little girl and raped the nanny.I think they got what they deserve, even though they are still breathing & they will be feeding on the tax payers money for all their lives. The fools should have been hanged or had bullets put through their brains.Fucking Morons!

@jmash: I know everyone is pretty upset about crime, this morning I interviewed a couple who had lost two of their sons through violent crime. Go to Google News and search for "Desmond Tutu Steve Biko"...he's prety spot on about the issues facing our nation.

Me and Handsome had a long chat about a disagreement about the crime issue last night. The girl from USA asked us if crime is bad here, and I gave her an accurate answer. Handsome, the eternal optimist went at me about that. The whole thing of the media over-inflating everything and that this is a great place. She asked me if crime was bad, and I told her. I also told her that I would not leave this country, and that it's a great place, but the crime is bad none the less.
