@Coola: If your info is correct then Transcorp is a big disappointment. You mean all those financial 'gugurus' on the board of Transcorp could not carry out a proper due dilligence before buying Nitel? Unless their plan was to buy Nitel, tear it down and sell it off in bits and pieces? I guess Transcorp is in a financial mess because I also heard that their IPO was heavily undersubscribed and they borrowed to pay for Hilton, Nitel and the oil blocks. Of these three only Hilton is bringing in revenue. |

I think Transcorp started sliding when the big Bank gurus were forced to withdraw by the enforcement of BOFIA rule which forbidded Bank CEO's from heading any other non-financial Company.
