Ah yeah that does look quite amazing, like the smaller brother of the GS868 or the communicator style proto that Ericsson Man has.

Sorry for not using search. I shall do next time!

RE: T68m - T68i - T68m
Just wanted to tell y´all that i am willing to help with the operation free of charge for Esato members. I have converted 5 T68´s that was upgraded to 'i' firmware back to original Ericsson T68 (Boba and Bart are my witnesses for two of them )
Of course you will have to pay postage to me and back, but i won´t charge a penny for the conversion.
Oh, and there´s no warranty.. like i said it has worked 5 times in a row for me by now, but then again there´s no telling what could happen if something goes seriously AWOL.
Happy owner of: Ericsson GH198, S868, SH888, R310s, T10s, T28s, A2618s, T39m x2, T68m, T66, SE t68i, T610, S700i, Nokia 2110i, 6210, 8310, 8850, 8890 and 6680 Siemens S55

@bleurdeur & boba - OK, thanks for the info. But I guess I will stick with it's T68i firmware . . . will be needing MMS - sometimes. What I really wanted was just to have the face plate (front cover) with my T68i . . . quite rare here at my end . . . and I just hate seeing those common ones: Arctic/Adriatic/and the Grey one with the T68i. @JN:

You could easily find a orig casings of the T68 over at semicon at megamall (local telecom shop & authorized /// dealer)

I think it somewhat around Php800+ for the Gold one "Brandnew" & the Gray one is Php600+.

@bleurdeur - Thanks for the info matey! You just gave me a NICE idea what to do next When I bought my Adriatic Blue T68i from Boyetraul 3 days ago, I hurriedly went to Semicon and have the face plate/frame changed (so it will look brand new . . . this is an ongoing SOP for me when buying 2nd hand units), I was shocked to see their current prices (T68i covers) . . . from the usual php 600.00 (generic price for all T68 models) to: php 1.5K for the Adriatic Blue, php 700-900 for the Grey one/T68i and the one I got, php 720.00-Greyish Black/T68 . . . the frame costs php 300.00+ and antenna cover, php 200+. I am planning to have the white antenna cover be changed to a black one and will get me a brand new black-rubberized battery . . . The Gold cover was not available when I went there, will check the stockman (via text/SMS) later to check on the price and might change the one I have now (just 3 days old-new ) . . . I was about to be gettin' another T68i from Boyetraul yesterday, unfortunately our meet did not prosper as it looked like there's a problem with his unit - very honest of him to inform me in advance though . . . OK . . . so I am really desperate to make my T68i the way I liked it . . . changed the front cover from the Adriatic Blue to the Blackish Grey of that of the T68. Now, I want the back cover (antenna/battery) to look GOOD as well, so I went to an authorized Shop and had the 'stock' antenna cover (white) replaced with that of the black one ! Never did I know that the black one has that of the Ericsson (blue) LOGO on it - I was really surprised to see it and made me want to buy it more - Php 212.00 (US$ 3.85) ! Since the old original black battery cover was a bit 'sticky' now (but performs still well). Since it's already an outdated model and an old stock too . . . the price dropped from it's original - Php 2,000.00(US$ 36.00) (2003-2004) to just php 700.00 (US$12.72) at present 2006 . . . so I grabbed it, since it's an original one - (packaged and made in SWEDEN). I'm just so happy now, another achievement!
