The 800x600 shots look nice! Are these straight from the phone or scaled down in PC?

It's scaled down to the minimum requirements at 800x640 by the forum board.
the actual size would be 2592x1944.

@mib1800
This is an enthusiasts thread for posting K850i pictures. Have you nothing better to do than sneer and snipe at people? It would be nice to see some of your own pictures for a change, ya big lemon.

Great pictures are possible with the K850i. Not saying they are the best ever, but this shot is credible.
Great stuff!

@DarKMaGiCiaN.......this full size pictures is realy awesome..(they blow everything away).
actaully im surprised, i didnt thought they should have that sharpness...(amazing quality).
i can also admit that k850 is fairly hard to shoot with.. it takes some work to get pictures like DarKMaGiCiaN...

great pics!!!
i have not used a k850 yet.
but as i can see more people are complaining about the washed out colors of the pics.
the same problem was on the k800 earlier. but after some time using my K800 and playing around with it, now i think it has the best 3.2mp camera.
the washed out colors is somthing related to the white balance and noise reduction algorithm. (the latter has big effect on the colors).
but if you master your phone capabilities, you can take the best pic!!!
for example, the color problem can be solved by changing the white balance to Daylight.(that was the case for k800).
(i hope these minor problems to be fixed soon)!
even if you have a Multi mega pixel super high end digicam and do not know how to take a pic you can not say that the device can not take pics. |

Or as the saying goes, 'A bad workman always blames his tools'.
I'm looking forward to tweaking the settings to get the best out of the cam.

I've noticed that my K850i takes really good indoor pictures if I set the correct light setting, everything else can stay on default. The improvement is rather visible. |

Seriously, I think K850 sensor is very noisy and pict is nothing to shout about.
Compare this taken with K850 (from DarKMaGiCiaN)

and following i took with my N95 way back

Even in daylight, K850 sensor exhibits a lot of noise and chromatic abberations.

compared to the one with my N95 from few months back taken in daylight.
