you could both be talking about different phones! I am keeping my hopes up for the high-end phone with a 4-4.3inch screen! would be perfect in my opinion!
RAY 3 The display is 4.26 inches.720P! !Other hardware and ONE SONY!Christmas global market!
“One Sony” will be the world's most beautiful design! :-O

Now the design aspect is becoming the most interesting part about this phone. Christmas launch? Im gonna use my income money on this thing ! >:)
Sony gotta do something about this in call volume, it's way too damn low. Using my mom's low end ZTE blows my Acro's volume out the water. Even the Neo was crap but slightly better than this shit. |

I don't have an informed answer to your question, but I would have to imagine the answer is yes. Electricity + water do not work well together. At the very least I would imagine they would use the same sort of port flaps found on the Z. I guess it's always possible they could come up with a better method of protecting the ports, but I doubt we'll get any info on that anytime soon.
I do wonder about wireless charging though. Will they adopt Qi charging as it seems to be a pretty popular standard, or will they stick with the dock connectors? |

Just like last year with the Xperia V, this year too there is another "mystery" high end. It fits in between One Sony and Phablet.
And some people should understand that phablet and one sony both are not finished products my info changes because Sony is continuously making changes. One Sony final specs are still not finalized.

Yeah, I do wish Sony would implement optical image stabilization on a phone. Many videos from the Z/ZL show a lot of jitteryness due to hand movements, and an OIS would solve all of that. Their digital implementation just doesn't seem to be able to do an adequate job.
The OIS on their handycams is glorious, but I dunno how easy it'd be to put that on a phone. |
