good choice , always go for for socket 939 ,other amd sockets plain sux (for desktop) .
mobo is good.
i think it (mobo) dont have pci-E and have realtek audio ,i think these are the drawbacks (which is negligable for a user like u  ) .
ensure ram compatibility b4 buying .
consider buying a graphic card also
