Super camera driver for k750/w800/w810 |

Hi lpachuong,
Have you checked my Post Processing guide? Let me know if something is not clear there...
Does anyone still get crash on cid36/cid49? I got a new fix and will post soon after dinner
Yes, it still crashes once in a while. After the crash, every next shot will crash until I reboot the phone.
And i think the second one is better as I also found that R1BC002 is good. If you want you can try with W800i r1db001 for cid36 but modded for cid49. Its quality is much better.
So you think that r1db001 is better than R1BC002 qualitywise? |

this cant be done by modifying the code. you need some stuff else to make it work.
...you need is a couple of strips of film with an all black end piece.

but look at this:
The next step is to modify your camera and REMOVE the IR Cut Filter! |

Dear dukempg,
Thank you for your tips. I now quite happy with this trick and the quality is really improved. I forgot to reply you and my appologise
You know why I said r1db001 is better than r1bc002 for cid49? bcz there is no r1db001 for cid49, just for cid36 and as wickedsick said, the firmware really affects the quality of the pictures. He checked this by testing his cammodules. Therefore, I think r1db001 is better for pictures but indeed it is. You can try it on SEK750I.pl

@ ALL
i found this pretty interesting article the other day when searching for shutter speeds to use when taking photos. when using our phones in manual (super) modes, it is sometimes difficult to decide what shutter speed to use, especially since we cannot lock our ISO setting.
http://www.fredparker.com/ultexp1.htm
i would encourage you all to read it, but to make a long story short, scroll down the article till you see the first chart: Exposure Value Chart. NOTE: don't confuse this with EV settings on our phones. this chart describes various types of lighting situations. for example EV 11 is for sunsets and objects in open shade, EV 15 for subjects in bright hazy sunlight, etc.
now take this value, example EV 15, and scroll down to chart B, Exposure Factor Relationship. on the left side you will see Film Speed and on the right side you will see Aperture. NOTE: aperture for our phones is locked at f/2.8, so you will only be able to use suggestions under column f/2.8. now for Film Speed we are interested in ISO 100 (lowest noise possible), so find ISO 100 column, scroll down till you see EV 15 (for example) , now scroll to the right and find column f/2.8 and find the interesection, which is 1/4000 sec. so the suggested shutter speed for EV 15 (subjects in bright hazy sunlight) is 1/4000 sec for ISO 100 shot.
so for EV 11 (sunsets and objects in open shade) scroll under column ISO 100 to find 11, scroll to the right under column f/2.8, suggested shutter is 1/250 sec. etc, etc, etc.
i've been playing around with the suggestions and so far i've been pretty impressed. here are some samples all with Raider's 6.6 driver.
the scene below is not exactly out in bright sunlight. there is lots of shaded area. i used EV 14 suggestion (subjects in weak hazy sun), for ISO 100 suggested shutter is 1/2000 sec for f/2.8. i used shutter 1/1600 and got a pic with ISO 100.
the scene below, again lots of shaded area, i used EV 14, suggested shutter 1/1600 and again i got a pic with ISO 100
below scene i used EV 11 suggestion (sunsets, objects in open shade). note the bottom left is now clearly visible and so is the truck in the top left left compared to pic above. shutter 1/250, ISO 80 (since i have a w810)
this scene i used EV 9 (Landscapes, city skylines 10 minutes after sunset), suggested shutter 1/125 sec. i used 1/200 sec and got a shot with ISO 125, had i used 1/125 instead i'm sure the shot would've been ISO 100. there's extra settings for this shot, it is not touched up! here they are: cloudy WB, magenta WB (zoom keys 1. , yellow WB (zoom keys 3.0)

it will take time because it is FW issue because it is OK in R1BC002 ^_^

Nice to hear that!

I had a look and W800 R1DB001 doesn't have many patches I use... K750 R1DB001 has these patches but unfortunatelly K750 Media player sucks (for me) plus I've read that K750 R1DB001 has a low volume problem. So I'll stick with R1BC002 for now. Maybe if some patches come out (or I find them) I'll upgrade. |

My last comparison between R1BC002 and R1CA021 firmwares for K750i CID49 with same camdriver (Ipachuong A4A 9.1) Pics below (both show ISO 800 in EXIF):
R1CA021 - Normal Mode - Infinitive Focus
R1BC002 - Same settings
Note more noise in the first image, much perceptible.
This is my final post here (for this version of driver).
How always, sorry for my poor english.

@lpachuong
What is the default flicker filter option , 50 or 60 hz?
I would like to keep it defaulted to 60 Hz since its the standard in my country and I can't change it when using MXE-60 (using MXE-60 there's a EV override and I can only change EV 0 i.e., Zoom) |

Sombra: I'm not sure, if it really prove anything. The light condition are not exactly the same (of course, it's harder, when you have to change firmware). At least is better to take and compare more photos.
I have R1CA021 and cid49 and I'm not used to such a huge noise like in your example. But I belive, those firmwares takes little different pics.
Deathrow: here v0.51 - it's page in my signature.
Nowadays, I'm enjoying Elm, fw R7BA076. And here camdriver database for k750/w800/w810: www.camdrivers.wz.cz |

My troubles with the A4A driver (excellent otherwise) is just one - it doesnt zoom anymore. I have a K750-> W800i (CID 49), and the process I used for camera software updation is:
http://sarathrit.blogspot.com[....]-quality-camera-and-sound.html
Its actually a bit of a pain to update drivers like that each time. Could anyone point me to a wiki/faq page which answers that? |
