Plus the Sony G Lens on Z1 is superior to the Carl Zeiss lens on the Lumia 1020. |

I wonder how it would look like if they use G lens for rx100/100 II
EDIT
PhoneArena repost it again

Nah Zeiss glasses delivers for its purpose, besides G lens are more of a mid/high-telephoto lenses than short zooms. the G lens that was used on Z1 was just one of the few prime lenses for that line.

such fuss over camera comparisons..
but good to see that even a proto Z1 is holding its own against final versions of current heavyweight competitors.. this should give great confidence to anybody with doubts to Z1's camera prowess. It will most likely, and very probably, get better with firmware upgrades. Not just in the retail version, but in subsequent updates that will surely be sent out within a few months of release. No doubt with some new camera app features (my guess only.. don't freak out).

1020 is better at 5MP, IMO, smoother. Look at those trees.

Better? difficult to say, I feel the Z1 has better exposure through the entire image. It feels like a normal cybershot image like one would take with a compact camera where as the 1020 image feels over exposed in some areas and underexposed in other. The Z1 photo feels more natural.
Can't wait for the z1 to hit poland, an finally replace my S2. |

@G3ORGE
Can you post 100% crops as images ? From what I'm seeing trees look better on Z1, or have you made a mistake with the file names |

I think it's just the differences on how the two handles the metering, 1020 chooses to expose the skies(hence the punchier blue), while Z1 exposes the center frame where the turret is situated. what's weird though is the prominent corner softness visible on 1020 samples by looking at the tree foliage.

what is that crap about iphone having a sony camera? pffft... i don't think so. apple is surely using a non-sony sensor this time around..
