and cannot confirm that it will be R3 or ++.. It will be a minor update with bugfixes and speedup. SE fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. So i have no more hope for Satio or even SE.

How can it be R3 if SE is only rolling out R2CA024 for Vivaz/Vivaz Pro?

Same for me, the Satio is my last SE phone. They really dropped the ball on this one. So many loyal SE fans are switching sides.

To be honest I am a Nokia fan. Since childhood I only have Nokia phones. I decided to switch sides because I liked SE, I liked the Satio very much the phone is very good.My head cant accept the fact that the phone was released October last year and still there are problems with the software, and the Satio is not used at its full power, I have to read here and there for mods and drivers, apply them manually wtf!? is wrong with SE Some good people have to work things out so we can use Satio properly( talking about the kokoro mod and camera driver). For the first and for the last time I am disappointed from SE,if they don`t fix everything I will be switching sides shortly...

@ dampio

that's exactly the point!
i can't believe that after almost one year and two firmwareupdates my satio t9 still doesn't know that there's more than a "d" on the "3" key...
satio hardware shurely is excellent but every day i wish my satio would run my nokia 5800's firmware.

Why not? K800i is currently R8 and T700 is R3, for example. Unless the phone models are very similar so that they can run exactly the same firmware, there is no connection between the revisions states for different models.

K800 is DB2020 while T700 is DB3150v2 that's why there is the revision difference. All three, Satio, Vivaz and Vivaz Pro, run the same system with the same stuff apart from homescreens and camera binaries.

well i was referring to R3, because as you know R2 is current, so if a major release is released for Satio, it will change FW to R3 or R4.. Thats why i said unless R3 will be out, it wont be any big difference. Costing more than the vivaz i think it should have better features. Like a good software to go with the good camera. It is very slow, and very annoying to have FOCUS in the sub menu (and not on the homescreen in camera mode).. press button, press focus, sometimes i have to press 2x, select focus, and exit interface... Thats lame. I think they could have squeezed focus onto the screen between flash and shot mode... FFS focus is important and dynamic.. no time to press 100 buttons to change it.

I can agree that they are similar, and that they all run Symbian S60 v5, but they are not identical, and they don't run the same firmware. Currently, Vivaz runs R2CA024 and Satio R2AK006. From 'AK' to 'CA', there are quite a lot increments. Also, there are different threads on Esato for "new Satio FW release" and "New Vivaz Firmware Release", etc.

It said camera binaries are different. Camera includes video recording so the answer is no.
