is there martinfield screen protector fort he P1? Is it good?

Yes there is, mine arrived this morning. I ordered it 4 days ago from Singapore. It fits perfectly and is the best protector I've used.

Ordered mine on the 12th. Hope I get it this week. They have a 2-pack-special really cheap at the moment.

Handyday and most of the other apps in the freeware tab is of course not freeware. But they could at least add the links or info on how to get the trials, although placing them in the freeware tab is still a mistake.

Ia greet that the P990i was a big disappointment but the P1i is a step in the right direction IMO.

@sunking101

Sorry mate, I get you now... Think I might have seen some like that myself...

The content found in Fun&Downloads is very poor, as I was saying, the themes are dreadful, detrimental to the phone even!... Made my P1 run very slowly and then crashed it...

Well, considering the fact that in the nordic countries the wayfinder app and a gps module was included in the pack I thought they might have made some deal and could offer it for free for P1i owners. Same hope with the Handy apps...

But finally managed downloading (using the pre-installed 'more applications' icon on the phone) and indeed all trials. Basically misleading by SE but well... was too good to be true I guess

How long does a Martinfield screen protector last and does it leave any mark on screen?

For some good themes go to UIQ's own site: http://www.uiq.com/uiq_themes_list.html
They all work with the P1i.

And now all I can read about P1 is the same thing, slow, many bugs (not as many as P990). It's a petty that SE is not trying to improve the P series, on the contrary, I think they are overtaken by all the Windows Mobile devices.

Maybe in the future I will come back to SE, but for now, I can't see any sunshine

You've been reading the "My pint's half empty forum" haven't you After the P990 the P1i is a breath of fresh air. The interphase is much easier to use and with all the additional memory it really does multi-task making it considerable faster than the P990.

As for there being many bugs, well, some may exist but I have yet to notice them and they certainly don't spoil my enjoyment of the phone.

Also, a lot of that complained-about memory leaking is actually a benefit. By keeping information in memory about programs that have already run they can then be re-opened quicker. with all the extra RAM this feature no longer causes the previous problems.

So yes, I never got on with my P990 but I really enjoy using my P1i

To be honest I really like Horizons that comes preinstalled... Think it goes well with the red on the keys and the standby display items (time etc) go perfectly with my Wallpaper!

@Masseur - That theme looks like it could be a bit difficult to read certain items with that background image in menus... How do you find it?

Gonna give it a go mate... Its all depends on how the standby screen looks with my Wallpaper as its pretty much all Black apart from an image in the middle so the time, date and network text sometimes looks really rubbish!
