There is also the option, no matter how hard this sounds, that SE may choose not to post an update but rather to release a new phone instead.
*edited on a Mac of course. Mac: There is no substitute*
N82(YES), iPhone 3G, Shure es530, Nikon D300, more stuff. No more SE stuff, why am I still here? |

Sorry, but this is just scaremongering. Have you ever known any SE phone not have a single firmware update? It is a virtual impossibility. |

My k800i suffered from WSOD, my servicecenter is now done with it. The service status says:"display adjusted, firmware updated."
Hope iŽll get it tomorrow, iŽll post the firmware version here when iŽll get the phone in my hand.

I have been trying to find out today for every body if the new firmware will be released.
Currenlty i can only say that as i have done in both of my other posts. The Firmware realease date was today however this is subject to change.
I did also mention that i have seen a service advisory regarding the WSOD and on there it has been mentioned that firmware now has a due date of a further 2 weeks time. Againg subject to change.
As soon as i find anything i will let every one know.
Sorry for the delay in updating the thread. |

FFS I WANT NEW FIRMWARE. I have very bad issue with my phone, call record doesn't work at all! When i call someone, there is no information about it, what's wore, when someone call me and i miss it, my phone displays activity menu with shortcuts, and no info about the call! Now just try to say it's in my head... |

K800 MR1 R1ED001 Released on Wotan Server |

Although my phone(CDA 102511/4, f/w R1CB001 EU_2) only suffers from a few minor bugs:
Alarm time indicator moves to replace call time at call end, slow to remove old indicator above date(remains until clock minute changes)
Ringtones folder on M2 plays in media player, phone folder doesn't
Random(up to thrice daily) screen shutdown during normal usage(not a crash; pressing any button restores what you were doing)
I mailed on when an update would be available, asking them why the P990 had one within days of launch, when the K is months old(and yet nothing so far). Got a reply late yesterday:
'4. A firmware update is due to be released over the next few weeks for the Sony Ericsson K800i available for download using the Sony Ericsson Update Service.
The Sony Ericsson P990i has not been officially released in the United Kingdom. The update currently available is the generic world release not intended for handsets on the UK market. As the handset is available from different national markets the update has been released.
.....an interesting answer, but for K800 it only confirms that there WILL be an update, not when......

But alas, for me, no Europe 4 (Nordic), and I am not sure that I want to spend a credit/log with them to change language later...
From Wotan's news:
At last K800 R1ED001 MR1 (Master Release 1) arrives!...

Noted Wotan's release of R1ED001 in the first post. |

That's good. Any mention of a changelog from Wotan? I'd like to see the list.
And what about firmware for the damn K790i?! Haha.
Edit: Plus the f/w list that I saw earlier by somebody didn't have any asian countries listed. This means the update is only available to European countries first? I have the CHINA_APAC with CDA 101. Hopefully they'll change something for the K790i.
