And I am supposed to know that because hehehe well the installing has started, I am starting with a macbook first then jump to the pro later this evening as the pro has my life and soul in there. House and home, bread and butter, porn and drama...ok that was too much detail il shut up.

yeah..
i need an external hdd before i ever think about installing leopard...
I've got way too much on here to loose..
i need to know if i can move apps across to the hdd??
as i no longer have the dmgs!

Moving apps shouldn be a problem but some stuff from reports are not working, iserial for example and photoshop (never use that)..
I think for me as long as Unison is working then I am happy, do any of you guys use newsgroups to download or are you torrent babies? I just cant hack the speed of torrents man to slow. Usenet maxes out your line kinda like a private ftp but not so private.

never seemed to get my head round news groups!?
I do ftp stuff though... but it's piss slow!
ooooh.. does leopard move everything over?? or does it do a fresh install?

It gave me option to move everything over, but from past experience Panther to Tiger really not a good idea. I prefer clean install.

depends how you want to connect it Miss C...
USB 2.0 is the cheapest but FW800 is the faster connection...
you can get a 500gb for like £90 these days
