@boba - The ONLY 'dead' that you can get for FREE at my END are: DEAD-cat and rat ! I am seeing some 'old' T28s at my end just for only less than US$ 45.00 !

its not normal for the keypad dome to loose its backlight effect at a quite early stage, we might manage to pull off something to eventually get it on & running again.
what's important is that your transceiver still works & sadly this is tone of he main causes for /// models to die out
You got my contact details just let me know

@bleurdeur - OK . . . but I guess that the Ericsson T28s is already an OLD model . . . so that's why we can ALREADY consider this a DYING one (handset) . . . as we all know that mobile handsets have a life-span of 'only' 5 years (earliest) before it will finally give-in . . . by the way, can we replace the keypad dome of the T28s with that of the T10s I remember that I still have a working Ericsson T10s . . . just needs a battery replacing. My apologies if I have been asking tooooo maaaaany 'Qs' here pal, I am really having 2nd thoughts if I will resuscitate my T28s or just let it DIE . . . a 'natural' one
@boba - Nice 'white/cream/off-white' Ericsson T28s mate ! Never seen one like that at my end . . .

age doesnt count, more the battery. when i sold one of my gh337 ( made in 1994 ) ca 2 years ago, worked perfect. even it was off ca 2 years long, when i turned on, the time and date worked great.

@JN
I'm sorry but you could not substitue a T10s' dome for a T28s since backlights for the T10s is not integrated onto the dome itself.
The lifespan of mobile phones dont have any defininte timeframe, it all depends on how you use & care for it, other than these instances the environment you use for & where it is stored.

Thanks The top of it which I drew is a pleasure to draw haha, the flowing curves of it just make it nice and simple
Did a T20 and GA628 aswell in colour
4 hours in total of work, not bad in that timeframe! Going to try some more stuff over the Easter holidays.
