If you are still interested in browsing on your Celtel, check and see if you have the GPRS active first.

The gprs symbol on my phone is detached, but I hear that if I migrate to post paid, I will get gprs back, but not for free. Its worth a try, I'll give feedback on monday.
I don't have a multilinks line, & I'm not willing 2 acquire yet another line, I want 2 make use of the ones I have.

Between an mp3 player and a cool camera, which do you prefer in a mobile??? Let's hear...
Multi-links just came into Abuja. I bought a Reltel two weeks ago. The network is wack. But Multilinks has no major incentive that I can think of. Or is there? With Reltel, Family and Friends, I can call for FREE any local Reltel line (A N67 daily deduction is the price I pay. Works about to 2k/mo). Thats why I bought it... though the next stage is to buy the Reltel lines for my gf(s) so that I can talk to her/them as long as I want. The Kyocera phone that it came with cost 4k.
Who uses Multilinks here? |

@coola: Starcomms is coming to Abuja soon so expect to see me witrh my marketing team!!! You must aid us in selling 1000 phones (only)!!!! Your cut will be inside of course!!!! Abi i can give you a free phone for your efforts?
As for camera vs MP3, i listen to music in my car, on my laptop and at home. The camera takes much more precedence. I snap my son every other day. You didnt chip in your own thots on it!!! but the score is
CAMERA 1: MP3 1 |

i can do without camera on my phone but would definitely like to have mp3. that's cos i would rather buy a dedicated camera that is best suited for taking superb pictures rather than waste money on an ipod or music player if i can have that on my phone. |

I'd prefer to have an mp3 player over a camera on my mobile because I've gotten so used to music on my phone that I doubt I can do without it. I even have it hooked to my car's stereo, that I hardly play cds anymore.
My phone's built in camera has come in handy on several occasions, but I don't use it everyday like I do my mp3 player.

Hi Guys, I guess everyone is ok.
I finally got my internet access via intercellular working, and I'm amazed at how effective it is. Its fast and steady. Though I have the 6pm to 6am slot which I think has reduced traffic.
I went to Celtel on Monday, and confirmed that gprs was exclusively reserved for contract lines and would cost 10k/kb download, which so far is the cheapest in the market.
However, they have a package to be launched within the next two weeks that costs N20k for 1month unlimited gprs usage, a provisioned and dedicated gprs SIM and a pcmcia gprs card.
After weighing my options, I decided in favour of internet via cdma, as it made more sense (pennywise).
@Coola: whats the latest from Mudabala? you seem to be in the know

Land slide victory for the MP3!!!!
@Amby: 20 k is too steep, especially if good service is coming from competition for 12k. Are they even aware of what is happening outside thier offices? Give us the gist on Intercellulars offer. |

@Abu: The N20k is the initial payment for one month's access plus the cost of the gprs card and activated SIM. subsequently, you decide your package.
1. Pay as you use @ 10k/kb
2. Unlimited access for N10k/month
@Mamba: The Intercellular access cost 6k per month for the 6pm to 6am slot. After my experience with MTN's gprs these past two weeks, I'd be stupid to pay for unlimited access, only to be deprived of the access due to technical issues.
