@Abu: MTN gprs is fine here, so I guess its just ur end. You could try rebooting ur phone.
As regards WiFi, mamba is right nokia is ur best bet. Choose between the communicator, E-series or N80

Hallo.1st and foremost, I think the topics on this forum should be posted in order of how recent each post rather than oldest to newest.
Its good to be here and I look forward to making my own humble contributions.
While I look forward to the turn around Transcorp is going to give Nitel/M'tel, I hope it won't be plagued by the proverbial 'Nigerian factor'.I believe they'll be doing a massive expansion 'coz as i believe(I stand to be corrected) they have > a million subscribers
How's that for starters... |

Welcome to PNF 234hay, we all have our fingers crossed in anticipation of Transcorp's restructuring of Mtel/Nitel. By default forum posts on esato are sorted in the order old to new, its not our making here.
@pxt: I woke up & couldn't get back 2 sleep, hence the 4:55am post. N93 is already in the market, I guess u meant N95? No idea on the price.
@All: Celtel free gprs ends 2moro, could this be the begining of the end of Celtel? Comments pleasese

@Amby, where did u get the info about celtel gprs ending today? If that's the case, i think they'll be making a big mistake.
The Nokia N93i is a smaller version of the huge N93 and comes bundled with a reduced battery capacity. The trade-off here would be size and weight over battery life cos both phones have the same features.

I haven't heard about the N93i either.I'm very sure of the N95.However I wouldn't rule it out as you can always trust "Nocare" for churning out phones that are like six and half a dozen a great deal of the time.
As for Celtel ending its gprs promo;true or false,I haven't been able to browse for since November 2006.I must admit though, they tried.MTN could only manage 30days of free browsing(on-net MMS is free though) before they started billing.
Hope the new entrant;the UAE company has a lot to offer... |

@pxt: Isn't the N93i the TV capable phone? Its already been released in a few european countries.
@mamba: the N93 and N95 do not share the same form factor. N93 is closer to the N90 in terms of looks.
Celtel sent me an sms indicating the end of free gprs from 25th January. I guess they only sent it to active gprs users.

The N95(coming soon) is based on N80 design (Slider phones)
While the N93i(coming soon) is based on N93 (flip/twist design)
I'm still waiting for celtel to send me the same message, abi they want me to keep enjoying it for much longer.. @Amby, I'm sure they sent u the SMS cos they are aware of the number of GB's you've downloaded free..
I even heard that they have yawa with NCC cos of some fraudulent 419'ers using the free celtel gprs to do their runs
N3310 >> N8210 >> t300 >> p800 >> Siemens S55 >> Sagem V55 >> k700 >> P910 >> k750 >> k600 >> P1i |

Welcome 234. You have crossed the one-post mark. I was getting tired of welcoming ppl who just post and vanish. Hope u enjoy ur stay.
Will Mudabala offer anything new? Well, maybe they should make Adenuga the Chairman.... then they can stand a chance. MTN and Glo both have 10 million subs and SIM cards are virtually free. I think the winners will be our Telecoms Engineers who will now move over to chop the petro-dollars.
Did U Guys hear the rumour two days ago that Baba had kicked the bucket (or barrel) ? The idea of it all and the confusion it would cause to the FGN, pro-Baba Ministers, PDP, EFCC and the Elections had us all laughing. Boy.
