does anybody know a good application that i could use to replace the stupid unlock pattern?
i need to keep the phone locked so no one could have access, and this stupid pattern is driving me crazy while driving,
thanks in advanced, |

I don't think it's stupid, I like it as it follows a logical thumb radius which is unique. But if it's not suitable for you (instead of stupid) you can set your own unlock pattern by going to settings--->security--->set unlock pattern

I am not talking about the unlock screen, i am talking about the unlock pattern, the one that is used instead of entering a password, it is hard to use it while driving and i was asking if there is a application replacement.
As for the radius unlock style I agree with you it is the best in smart phones and hope in the 2.1 update will not be the sliding like it was shown in some videos over the net

Hi everyone,
I am being selfish... I know... I should read back through the thread and also search..... tired. sleepy...
My good friend has an X10.. when will it be updated to 2.1 or 2.2.?
Search in the morning when I wake up...

Hi Ricky D
End of October? OK.. thanks!
My friend starts her lectures today, so she was busy preping and is not treating this as a priority. Her X10 is a mess at the moment.
I think when she has settled down a bit, I will get her to back up the address book and apps and then start again, and encourage her to keep her favourite gmail account and ditch the others.

I installed Ambient Launcher which is quite cool, especially the touch effects on the Ambient Lock screen but sometimes I have to unlock the screen twice using the original 'thumb-swipe' lock and then the Ambient Lock. Is there any way to disable the 'thumb-swipe' lock permanently?

Yes, I seem to encounter the same double unlocking routine too, and sometimes my MW600 becomes unresponsive sometimes when I use it as the default homescreen. Otherwise, this is one pretty looking app with added functonionality, which is absolutely welcome after SE's delay.

Yeah, it has completely transformed the look of my black X10, so much that I'm thinking of keeping it now.
Regarding the double lock problem. I've set the screen time-out setting to 'Never' and I'll learn to remember to lock the screen manually - hopefully this should make the Ambient Lock screen the default one.
