I'm quite confused, in the description of this phone and on the video presentation, it says that this phone is expandable to 1Gb which I am completely confused about, is anyone able to explain this to me????

if they have problems with the firmware or if they are uncertain of some things like if they would have enough supplies then they probably say it's gonna be out in q4 which is probably true for most countries but i still think it's gonna be out september-october for some countries like sweden and i don't see anything wrong with that.... it's not going to be the real shipment just some early products, and why exactly is that unprofessional? take a look at p800 and z1010 they have stated the release date far too optimisticly and in my opinion z1010 and p800 showed se as a lot more unprofessional than as a possible pre-release of the s700...
and btw s700 and k700 are miles apart by almost all things, form factor, size, screen, camera, memory..... saying that the two are almost the same is just like saying nokia 6600 and t610 are the same.... |

The next phone in the P series could come out during the same quarter as the S700, because they're aimed at different markets.
The P series are aimed at the business end of the market, while the S700 is aimed more at the youth / casual market. Business users probably wouldnt buy the S700 over the P900 even if it were released now, as it does not have the business features that P series phones do. You couldnt release the S700 around the same time as the K700, they'd kill each others sales targets.
What we all have to remember is that you cant take anything you're told as genuine unless it comes from SE themselves. Until SE say otherwise, on my calendar i still have the S700 slated as Oct-Dec'04, No matter what anyone says.

oh and i also do not understand the 1gb expansion. How is that possible if it 32 mb internal and 128 mb external?

How is it selfish ? because i refuse to listen to people who are most likely talking fiction ? If i got a new SE phone each time someone on a forum claimed to have insider info on the next phone coming out, i could put SE out of their own business.
It might be possible for the S700 to take Duo Pro sticks as much as 1gb, but its a big IF.

The more I see it, the more I like it... it's a shame it has been in the shadow of the K700 from the beginning!
I still think it's still a little late on the market to be a big hit!

Its only the camera function preview. I think he's going to come out with something more in depth.
How does he get all these phones ahead of everybody else anyway?
If I remember correctly, he got the K700 2 months prior to release. If this hold true, S700 might be out in 2 months. which brings us to the 3rd week of september. Hmmm. |
