Sony Ericsson has launched the new W995 Walkman™
Today, on the 25th of May, finally was launched the new Sony Ericsson W995 Walkman™. During next couple of weeks W995 should be available in all big mobile stores of Europe. W995 Walkman™ was announced on the 15th of February 2009. W995 is high-end slider phone and it is Walkman™ flagship for 2009 year. The phone has 240×320 pixels screen, 8.1 Megapixel camera, build-in stereo speakers. Plus it has a special kickstand on the back of the phone, three dedicated music control keys on the right side and, of course, one of the main features of W995 is 3.5-mm jack, which is located on the top of the phone. In the try phone section in  's site I see that the options menu of W995 is without tabs. Is the normal phone using this menu?
The best mobile phone brand died with Sony Ericsson's death. Shame on you Sony for killing it! And, of course, for ruining the Xperia brand... Mediar's Site |

Just checking the Support site on sonyericsson (UK) website for W995 and the manual and software are available for download. Am checking at the new Media 2 Go software now....

I think its just simplified for the sake of the application. The options menu doesn't work but you can still change the icon layout in the settings - display section. Don't see it being any different from the C905 - apart from the themes.

can anybody get these applications that came with the W995 please
The Sound Sensor catches the surrounding noise and shows it in a real-time graphical diagram - just like an equalizer or music-animated visualization.
The VoiceFX application records your voice and then allows you to apply different filters and effects to it before saving the new sound file to your phone.

I signed up to be emailed by Sony Ericsson when the W995a became available, and to my surprise, I got the email tonight. However, after clicking the link for "more information," I got an Oh no! 404 error.
