Sony Ericsson doesnt lie when they tell thier T650i screen is scratch recistens !! and as some people mentioned, it doesnt means you take a knive and scratch hardly and you think it will be ok .. even normal glace will get scratched !!! |

Yes, i sent an email to Sony Ericsson regarding T650i BLUE, they said like that:
Hej!
Tack för att du kontaktade Sony Ericsson Call Center.
Sony Ericsson T650i i blå färg planeras att lanseras på den Svenska marknaden någon gång mellan vecka 35 och 36.

So now we've got week 34, 35, 36 and 38 as potential releasedates for the blue one. Weird that they can't all say the same date...

They should release all colors at once .. cause its only the outside which is different .. but i gues SE play a special game by releasing only one color then release other attractive colors to make the selling goes on and on for same phone  |

I have seen both phones in these 2 colors ! and my opinion is like that:
SE T650i Green is more for guys taste..
SE T650i Blue is more for girly taste ..
So try to find out which color you want to buy |

my local provider doesn't know when they'll get them, but the lady told me, that it has already been presented to them and they also have a small banner where they use the t650 to advertise their navi, so it shouldn't take long...i hope |

I rang CPW about my order with them, they have 5000 of each colour unit in there warehouse and they are programming the software onto them and it should take no longer than 2 week (at very most), thats what the guy said to me on the phone.
If you live in a glass house, don't be chuckin stuff about. |

Now........where have we seen this behaviour before then?? 
A: Everywhere!!! Moto(V3), Nokia(8800), Samsung(D600)....ALL launched in a single colour, then re-launched in more attractive(personal taste) hues to retain market value......even SE have done it before, look at K750i(black, then silver, then red)......
It's no secret, it's a good way to increase model longevity(and fleece that little bit more from the consumers).....
And Bart says he's already seen a 'limited' colour......anyone want to bet me it's NOT.......black??

That's pretty much what they've told me too, but the guy said it would be at least one week before they're available, but should be less than 2 weeks. He also pointed out that pre orders from their website or direct phone sales will be dealt with before the stores get stock, so that would be the quickest way of getting one.
What really sucks is the fairly crappy contract options available for 12 month deals. They wanted £40 a month for the 600 mins/500 txt one and you still have to pay £59.99 for the handset on top of that. They did also say you can have it on a contract for £25, but the phone price is £149.99(!) and you get 50 mins and 100 txt. useless basically.
...but you do get to upgrade at 9 months with CPW
and another thing... I got an email from SE today telling me it's available in stores. What exactly is the point of sending this email if it's not true...? Just makes them look stupid.

Quite amazing. I wish it were an option, but the upper one looks like a more likely solution (keeping in line with the green / blue duo).
It would be truly nice to have one of these hypothetical T610 design successors  |
