ahh the age old question!
mais non, I'm not called Reg although I am rather portly, but it's fatreg and not fat reg
all stems back to the beginning of High school..
and or to the start and you get orfatreg, spell that backwards and you get gertafro or gert afro, gert meaning big and afro well you know what an afro is, back at school i had a fascination with said hair dos and as a result fatreg was born in a year 8 Geography lesson.

Lol, I love interesting name stories like that, mine was a far more boring tedious by obvious outcome style approch when I was about 15 I think.

I think I'm going to make my own Wiki for this, I feel like I've explained it hundreds of times (not here I mean, just in general ).
Ok, Daedalus was the guy in Greek mythology who designed the maze that kept the Minotaur in. When it got out, Daedalus tried to flee the island with his son, Icarus. Being an inventor of sorts, he built two pairs of wings from feathers and wax. He told Icarus not to fly too close to the sun (duh!) or else the wings would melt and well, he'd die. They set off, Icarus being cocky flew too close, wings melted, fell to his death.
Daedalus made it across
I chose the name because I like Greeky mythology names, and it was the name of a character in Deus Ex (he was the good AI computer, Icarus was the bad one, and they merge at the end to become Helios).
It's funny, in movies you see the name Icarus being plastered on ships (Matrix Trillogy, that one recently about 'rebooting' the sun as well, Sunshine I think it was called.) But they always crash, I wonder why...

Funny, I posted a reply FROM the BB Pearl last night, and it's not here now
Anyway, prolly due to the problem I was posting about! I was saying, how can I get the browser to look browser like and not all squashed up? Whats the best settings in the browser options to make pages look as close to my PC as possible?

I've no had a pearl so I can't really help with that?
My curve has a Desktop view option which makes the display much more pc like.
Anyways I was just wondering what font everyone uses and is there a way of installing new fonts? If so does anyone recommend any? |

If its the work 8100 you're talking about; lets first figure out the firmware. I had the oldest intial release of the firmware and the one's that also included the better desktop browser view (like S60's browser Map view).
In the browser Menu key> Desktop View or there should be another view MiniMap ? (its been a while so sorry if not too accurate). This should squish the view so small you cannot read the text. BUT should have a box that allows for FAST scrolling on the top right corner of the screen the is ZOOMED in. once clicked bang you're in full desktop view. Unless you'd rather the endless scrolling ? regular desktop view ... which I think has been abolished on BB's since last June (2007).
Let us know what you find? Also check Browser> Menu> Options General Settings?

@fatfreg, Reggie (Reg part?) .... so you used to kick Afrolistics too back in the day? (early 80's, lol)? Did you also have a Mifisto Pick? Man I missed those days, and my JVC Ghetto Blaster.
Dummy phones, to my recollection are always sealed via glue ... I'm unsure if the case can be cracked carefully to acquire the keypad. Also will the keypad have the "nubs" underneath to interface the input pad beneath the real Pearl 2?
Question to all 8120 owners: How good is the WiFi reception on your home WiFi Router - as in range away from it (are you in a house/apartment/condo)?? Also are you set to 802.11b / g / a or b/g both or just a by itself?
Thanks. Much appreciated.
