lets not forget that the entire idea of a firmware update happening this week is only due to one guy posting and saying it will happen (then disappearing) |

hey
i have one question regarding the online seus.
i had the firmware R1CC003 on my K790i... wen i tried the seus it told me that my phone already had the latest software installed ....
but the service centre upgraded it to R1CG001 which im sure didn come up just in a couple of days coz the date of the update looked like 27th July.
so does the seus work for real or wat??so why couldnt i upgrade the firmware at my place??
also is it better if i try the upgrade over the air as in via my gprs??

I still get message that i already have newest soft in the phone.
LOL, one guy who just sayd that there will be new FW and everyone belived him.. |

Actually, he put out a disclaimer saying that it may not come out. He is not the releaser of the f/w update. I also heard the same from the SE techs here in Kuwait but who knows. The problem is that he should not have said anyting because if the update does not appear, he will catch hell for it.

I have a problem.. my K800i (O2 UK) will not let me access any games or app's, and when i try to install one it wont allow. In both instances it says "Operation Failed". This has not always been the case, everything was fine up until recently. I did nothing of note to cause this, installed nothing new around the time etc.
Any ideas of a possible fix (tried master reset etc), if not, would a f/w update potentially resolve this

Hello and sorry for the delay.
i have been doing a little bit of work for you on this one. To what so far i have found out it seems to be how the software handles applications. However i'm still working on trying to find out if this is correct. I cant say when the new firmware is released that the fault will be resolved, however i can say if that the fault is still there after, send your phone in to a main service center who will replace the software with a master build. This is not the same that any body uses from the update site.

Yeh i just opened my seus too and it was dling some update.. but then i get a message saying unable to communicate with server or sumthing and 'going offline' |

mine dl'd fine. Im on dial up for now though, monthly bites are over  i will try updating software after eating some dinner.... anyone else manages to update let us know asap....... |

The only update avail is the SEUS software update. Nothing for the actual phone. Maybe something new is being prepared. BTW this was avail last night.
