Thanks to everyone that replied to my question regarding release dates for K8 and K7. I might take a gamble and grab one if i see one advertised on EBay. I am after a K800i really. Not to bothered about the K790i. If or should i say when i obtain one i will write a post to comment on it. Looking forward to the 3.2 mp camera. |

Me again folks. Just noticed that there is a seller on EBay and he has 3 Sony Ericsson K800i handsets for sale. £375 will secure one. Im tempted. The buyer is genuine and i have actual pictures of the handsets. Tempting eh? Or do you think that the price is excessive? Your comments are valued |

Cool. Looks much better. Perhaps they took a leaf out of Xugaa's book by taking a few design hints from here:
Xugaa's
Real
I didn't notice the purple backlight until now. Would've looked better with white or blue IMO
edit: And here's the quote from mobile-review saying that there is dust protection for the joystick.
A lot of people were worried because the company decided to use D-Pad instead of joysticks. In reality both manipulators will be used in the line-up, but D-Pads abilities are richer than one’s in case with Joystick, this will become essential requirement in future. Joystick realization in K800 is slightly different from K750i, now it became more convenient in gaming applications, than it was before, but small navigation through the menu is not that enjoyable and may cause some slight problems. Perhaps it is due to my habit, I don’t know for sure. According to engineers complaints about dust collector which was K750’s joystick’s second name were taken into consideration, and dust protection was improved in new models, this increases mechanical reliability. We will only be able to see if its true or no in December, when we will collect service statistics.

@rog - those pics make me feel a lot better about the cam's quality, although a certain degree of red/blue bleeding is still present on some shots, but I honeslty can't complain too much about that. |

Wow!
I think it looks so much better and much cooler without the CyberShot label being shown as a big sticker, makes much more sense. Also without the big grey/silver sticker there, in a way i think it makes the phone 'look' much smaller than it really is, although the phone isn't really that big anyway...
do you think thats real though? since the other picture it is comparing the "new" version with are official SE photos...?

It does look much better now, but remember when the K700i was released, some handsets came with white keypad backlighting, some with purple, some with blue, and some with PINK !
I like how the two buttons at either side of the earpiece actually do something, until the other day when i read they were buttons i thought they were just useless lumps at the top of the phone.

Friends, with finds of the K800 on Ebay - what is the general consensus on the reputability of these items?
Especially considering the phone is currently unreleased – is this a sign of underhandedness?
Or full steam ahead? Thanks in advance. Cheers.

So what do they actually do?
I thought they were just bumps...
Also i quite like the idea of purple, blue or white keypad lighting.
