@dukempg: did you get crash with MXE-60. I forgot to mention that bcz of the high compression in the second step, MXE-60 may not work in some cases and also my driver has EM On. 8.8 is not created for MXE-60 bcz if it is decided for MXE-60, the second compression will be lowered to 50%. If the phone is setup at 98% and get crashes, the pictures will be save at 50% and this is very bad.

Yes, it crashed with MXE-60 at quality Normal, Quality Fine it didn't crash but the picture was taken out of sync with the flash so it came out dark. Well too bad it can't be designed to work with MXE-60 I like MXE-60 because I take a lot of night pictures of friends and people tend not to stay still lol
I replied your PM

@Ipachuong, I've just tried your new driver and I've found that in macro mode it doesn't zoom in propertly. I can't get zoomed preview before shot when i half-press button. My phone is k750i CID49 R1CA021. Sorry for my English. I've used fine mode.

A4A-8.8 - All in One [New code - Test 1]

http://www.mediafire.com/?2be9mbe2ykm

Hello everyone. Here comes A4A-8.8. In this version, I created the driver for 3 modules. Because I don't have much free time to test it so I put them together. There may be some minor problem but as it is based on the new code, I hope everyone can help me find out bugs and problems. Thank you.

When you test it, please tell me:

- Your camera module: cid49/cid36/w810i
- If you have w810i, please tell me the size of the pictures and its ISO (80 or 100)
- If you have k750/w800 cid49, please make some comments on the colours and sharpness
- Do you get crash or not? Because the is the first test, I setup highest compression is 98% and lowest compression is 94% so there maybe crash. If there is no crash then the compression is good then.
------------------------
- Zoom + infinity focus is available now
- Video recorder is smoother than 8.5
- Always use fine-quality
- Macro off for normal focus
- Macro on for enhanced focus (like before but from zoom 1.1, viewfinder will be zoomed in)
- EM is always on
------------------------

Hope you enjoy it and I am waiting for your comments.

Actually, about the compression, I based on SPU's compression method and make some changes to improve it to make it suitable with my driver (As I used Raiderski's Profile Code as my pre-defined profiles). Anyways, thank you SPU and Raiderski and friends here.

------------------------

Good night

New driver for test, thanks Ipachuong

@moonmoth
you can use zoom preview when macro on (read addition function from SPU instruction).

@lpachuong
I'm use K750i CID49 with W800i R1BC002 Firmware. Today I'm found camera crash when use fine mode in some shot.
I like your 8.8 because your 8.8 have EM while SPU1.3b9 don't have. My point is your should add SPU instruction in your 8.8 instruction for who never use SPU1.3 before.
again. sorry for my bad english.

actually MXE-60 and EM combo will fail because of fact that MXE is always forcing constant values of ISO (200) and probably constant value of shutter speed (1/15s)

Tuner
forcing led with WB 04 value is good only in some situations, that's why i decided to leave led settings in neutral state, besides:
- forcing will distort WB setting selected in camera menu
- forcing will distort WB settings defined in profiles (if selected)

if i put EV on joy keys then functions change will be impossible, so i can't do this in any other way than function under EV +0.3. i never liked combinations like behaviour1 without macro mode and behaviour2 with macro mode. why to complicate?

EV - controls exposure time (longer = brightest), parameter used before postprocessing
brightness - affect on contrast and brightness together, parameter used for postprocessing
looks like both are doing the same effect but this is not true

don_gori
what about my proposition from page 467?

@Ridersky
You're right. I tested EM on with MXE-60 and got a very overexposed picture...
Could you give me more details about EM and ENM modes? I've read the readme and it only says that it's a special mode for low light, but doesn't mention technical info like: does it use a fixed ISO? Does it use special filtering? Shutter speed is fixed or not? I would like to know this informations if possible...

Hello everyone. How are you today?

The fixes for A4A-8.8 will be released at this weekend. Sorry for that inconvenience

@xxdjrerunxx: thank you for testing with my driver I wonder why do you want to have pictures with ISO 100? The smaller value of ISO, the smoother the pictures will be (also less noise). So far I have only seen ISO50 from a digital camera.

Wish you have a nice day. [addsig]

1. in most cases ISO value is 100, sometimes can be higher
2. filtering is always enabled because long exposure time generate a lot of chroma noise which have to be removed
3. shutter speed value is exactly this what EM algorithm is trying to calculate (from AutoExposure value) to get low ISO value. from AE value we know how much light reach the sensor. if light amount is low then shutter speed must be slow to collect more "data"

@Raiderski
Thanks for the info. I really like your driver, pictures come out great. I only disabled sharpness (SHARPNESS=0) because prefer to remove noise and sharpen later. I've done some modifications but surprisingly the default settings still look better.
