On myspace... the place is kind rowdy. Too many rascals can just ruin your page. I am having a re-think.
Another Bud sent this:
This year, all your enemies shall be harassed like Atiku, restless like Chris Ngige, Confused like Chris Uba, Disorganised like PDP, Resigned like Audu Ogbe, Sacked like Peter Obi, Disappointed like Peter Odili, Betrayed like Charles Taylor, Arrested like Sergeant Rogers, Detained like Al-Mustapha, Disgraced like Tafa Balogun, Die like Abacha, if they refuse to die, will be hanged like Saddam. Meanwhile, all your competitors shall step down for you like they did to Yaradua, You shall be announced like Duke and Tinapa, You will reclaim what the Devil had earlier stolen like Ladoja while Goodluck shall follow you throughout the days of your life like Johnathan in Jesus mighty name. AMEN. Welcome to a Brand New Year.

Some Guys are truly creative... I tell ya.
I just came back from Jalingo. There are 36 Army/Police road blocks between Katsina-Ala and Jalingo! The Army Guys are complete with battle fatigues with water bottles strapped by their sides.
You can't miss the innovative road-blocks too: the logs had tires made from ball-bearings. They roll it on and off. Impressive. The trip takes 8 hours from Abuja with the KatsinaAla-Jalingo stretch a cool 4.5 hours of pot-holes and road-blocks.
I went on Wednesday and returned on Thursday. Something like 1,600km. I am taking three days off to recover.

I will like to assure you that real battles are ongoing on most highways in the north eastern Nigeria, hence the soldiers.
Brutal armed robberies occur on those roads regularly by particularly brutal and merciless hoodlums suspected to be from the Chadian civil wars. I was in Adamawa State many years ago and I know that from Jos onward, those roads are battle grounds between traders and deadly robbers.
I assure you, you are better off with the soldiers. Meanwhile, the presence of the soldiers clearly shows the utter uselessness of Ehindero and his rag-tag militia called the Nigerian Police. They set-up road blocks to collect illegal tolls only. When there is really law enforcement job to do, the soldiers come out. |

@2tek- You do have a God who is madly inlove with you. A thousand may dead by your side and ten thousand by your right hand- but you will notn be hurt. Glad to know you are safe. Give us the gist of how it happened. |

Meanwhile, the NCC has issued a 5th GSM license to a company from UAE. Mudabal Dev Corp paid 400 million USD for the license and they are to pay up in ful in a few weeks time.
Men, when you have petro-dollars, the "rules" don't apply to you. What do you think their chances are? |

@coola: it depends on thier commitment. if they are willing to invest in 3g equipment and give cheap rates for non-voice services they may get a good niche of the market, especially the upper end users. similar to glo's low skimming high penetration marketing plan during thier launch. no company has made getting a 3g phone compelling so far.
@mamba: you're very vague about the phone you want. |

@mamba: what do you want with the bluetooth? to use the phone as a modem or for normal pix and ring tone exchange? and what 2nd hand price range are you gunning for? not that i have one for sale, but it'll help you in procuring one.

@Abu, I need bluetooth for GPRS modem and file transfer as you rightly said. Also wanted to use a bluetooth handsfree too. I needed a cheap phone that would do almost everything I needed it to do, therefore I decided to opt for the SE k600i. It was so hard to find a second hand one but I finally did. Got it for 13k yesterday at Ladipo.
@Amby, if u are interested in Imate Jam or any windows mobile phone (obviously a better choice than SE M600i) them plenty for that area at a cheap price of 35k. I woulda bought one if I had the money. |

@Mamba: I'm very interested. The backup battery of my I-mate Jam is bad and I've looked everywhere for a replacement without success. Where exactly in Ladipo? I hope the phones are in good shape? Pls PM your number so that I can ask 4 directions.
Funny enough I was also considering SE M600 and almost bought it last week but for the many bugs reported in several symbian sites. |
