I have a Nexus 4. The viewing angle are 'amazing'. According to the reviewers. It has come in useful for me on a few occasions, but has made me more conscious about using my phone in a public place, where I use my phone the most for web-browsing etc. I would prefer peers to not see what I'm doing even though I have nothing to hide. I'm not a person who tweets what I do every 5 minutes. The relevant and significant people know, others don't need to.

A screen with viewing angles as good as the TX is perfect in my opinion. The argument about viewing angles affecting the quality of the screen almost and even head on can't be used, and the privacy it provides its still adequate. My definition of 'perfect'. I agree some people will change their opinions when the 2h flagship is out, but I won't, nor do I need to. I can, and am, living with 'amazing' viewing angles, it's just personal preference that I'd prefer TX viewing angles.

And in some cases screens with better viewing angles may be better, but even in the case of the XT (that's not a typo, I'm not talking about the TX), it doesn't apply.

Anyway, on topic, someone please tell me there won't be differing qualities of the displays used on the 2h flagship, reviewers, and consequently the ignorant masses don't realise that there are differing qualities and the bad ones are no longer made. Same with battery life. It's said that Sony batteries improve and have more cycles than usual, but most reviews come out too soon to feel the effects. At least market that your battery will last longer and the battery life will increase.

I don't mind the viewing angel, but the fact is, Xperia T & V have much better color display then the Z/ZL and any 2013 Sony phones coming later on I suppose. How the hell is that?! That bugs me a lot!

Oh god

Please make a new topic on viewing angles and continue the discussion there.

BTW the notion that if Sony starts using screens with good viewing angles sony fans will advocate good viewing angles is kinda wrong IMO.

Sony has gone the IPS route this year on their TVs and I absolutely oppose the move. Good viewing angles alone don't make a good picture. IPS panels have poorer contrast and motion, so while viewing angles may be great the PQ on angle is significantly worse.

So a screen with PERFECT viewing angles may not be better than another with IMPERFECT viewing angles. Viewing angle is just a small criteria to determine PQ. There are many other more important criterions.

That said, if anybody wants to continue this discussion then just create a new thread as I mentioned earlier in my post.

I doubt that will happen anytime soon. A true edge to edge display will have compromising ergonomics

Right! Is the front page up to date with rumours Ramu? I'm not sure how many pages I'm able to wade back through to find any useful info. Thanks.

All I know is that Sony was in rush to get it out in the US/Canada, and nobody is buying it. People are rather pissed off that Sony is not giving them the Z. And I mean REALLY pissed off... just look at sony mobile Canada facebook page. I feel sorry for their PR department. Humiliation would be the right word.
