My replacement X10 did charge to the point that the led changed to green and then went out. Battery status did show 99% full. Have yet to debrand this one as i'm gonna test it over the next 2 days. If theres a problem within that time i'll be taking it back and cancelling with o2.

Its strange this as mine has only over the last few weeks started to charge to 100%. In addition this only occurs when charged via the PC/laptop and not via the mains which stops at 94-96%?!?!?

I am disappointed the software is not updated but to be honest I don't use the intended updates. I would like to see the back light on the buttons disabled and I assume some cosmetic changes. I used the Google navigation this morning and this was excellent spot on which pleased me to no end. Oh and why the speaker issue cannot be fixed in the interim I don't know!

I have a question open to everybody who has an X10:

Would you be disappointed if turned around in 2 weeks from now and said "no 2.1 in October but 2.2 in lateQ1/earlyQ2"?

Difficult question Ricky D, but I probably say yes probably because the jump in term of features from 1.6 to 2.1 is greater than 2.1 - 2.2.

but in terms of performance and use of resources 2.2 is a massive up on 2.1

@Ricky D
I'm happy with the 1.6's performance. I'm not fancy 2.2 for the performance improvement but flash support will be a big plus. I can wait for that. Than the question about V3.0 will come up. Would we like to wait another couple of months to have 3.0 instead of 2.2.

I Think should give the option of stock Android vs customized software choice to the user. I should be able to load 2.2 to my phone without any customization and have the customized software from when it is available.

Timescape and Mediascape are overrated anyway.
Face recognition, facebook integration and other taggings are amazing but what about the new apps? I'd probably prefer new applications.

Am I the only person that utilises Timescape cos I actually really like it. I don't have it linked to the home button but I use it regularly and I'm looking forward to seeing how it evolves with the updates.

goldenface - i use timescape too. i think it's nice to use. the only pain is that you can't do quick replies to texts/emails and simple features for twitter/facebook. Sometimes i just want to reply to a tweet but i have to use my twitter app instead of just doing it right in timescape. I'm looking forward to how timescape has changed. As far as mediascape, I'd love it if they can get rid of the lag when swiping through different categories.

I use Timescape when it actually works that is and when there actually is a wifi connection when it hasn't dropped.

Looking forward to N-series wifi on the HTC Desire HD hopefully there won't be the same issue with that than there is with the crappy Sony Ericsson X10.

My WiFi drops constantly. If I turn WiFi on, it will stay connected for either the period I use it for, or about 10 minutes if I leave my phone on stand by. When it cuts out, the only way to get it to turn back on is to go to WiFi in the menu and turn it off then on again. It will of course do the same again, but if I need to use WiFi it's what I have to do. My flat is small so I'm never more than 5 or 6 metres from my router so it's not a going in and out of range problem.

Pretty big glitch if you ask me.

Anyone knows where to get custom casing for the x10, or a custom battery hatchet (not white and black )
