I mean the file structure that the device creates on the Duo, they are not the same and the PSP and P-Series cannot see each others. The PSP can see digital camera structures though.
Obviously the pics and MP3s are the same and will work on the PSP but for videos I'd use one of the specific PSP converters such as Sony Image Converter 2.
If you format the Duo in the PSP and put it in a MS reader in a PC you'll see most of the folders are created except fot the video one but Sony IC 2 will automatically create the video folder and place them there.

@Mik
Ok - sorry for my ignorance but as I understand it:
1. I should be able to view pics and MP3s (stored on the Duo from the P910i) straight away when I insert it into the PSP? At the moment I can't.
2. If I format the Duo in the PSP (don't recall seeing such an option?) then the file folders for video (and presumably games) will be created, but will it still work if I then want to put it back in the P910i or will the 910i not read it, as it won't recognise the file folders?
3. Anything other than MP3s and pics will only be visible on the device that the Duo is formatted on, although MP3s and pics should be visible on both, as they are file-structure independent?
Sorry if this is a little complicated.... well I'm confused anyway.

I don't know where u got that idea but as I said u can't. The two devices use different folders which are not visible to each other. This is proven by the fact that u cannot see them.
2. If I format the Duo in the PSP (don't recall seeing such an option?) then the file folders for video (and presumably games) will be created, but will it still work if I then want to put it back in the P910i or will the 910i not read it, as it won't recognise the file folders?
You must not have looked far if u didn't find format , it is in the settings menu.
A format will erase everything & create the PSP folders for audio, pics, games & saves but NOT video as I mentioned before. The video folder will be created by Sony IC2 for example.
When u put it back in a P-Series it will make its own seperate folders & will not see anything in the PSP folders.
3. Anything other than MP3s and pics will only be visible on the device that the Duo is formatted on, although MP3s and pics should be visible on both, as they are file-structure independent?
That is not the case. The two devices cannot see ANYTHING in the other devices folders.
The only common folder is the one digital cameras use. The PSP sees this & the P910 can import/export to & from it.
@ tempsonyfreak
The PSP can use normal and PRO Duo so the limit is the largest available, at the moment 1GB until 2GB ones are released

Yes, it will be a matter of time
They'll be expensive though but hopefully they'll cause a drop in the price of 1GB ones as 1GB Duo led to cheaper 512MB Duos

Use the P910 File Manager to create a PSP directory(a folder named PSP. Then inside that PHOTO,MUSIC etc) in the root of your phones mem stick. Then copy your cam pics and/or mp3s to the relevant new folders. PAY ATTENTION:HERE COMES THE SCIENCE BIT. Take memstick out of phone, stick in PSP. Go to photo/music menu on PSP, enjoy slideshow/tunes.
No need to re-format memstick. No need for PC. Been downloading tunes and transferring pictures for the last week, just using my P910.

thanks Mik & Belziah - should be able to sort it out now. For someone reasonably technically literate, I am thoroughly ashamed that it took me a day to work out that there were more menu options than just the UMD/saved data/mem stick options under Game

Just received this in an email!

According to a games site
"One speaker (Michael Pachter of Wedbush Morgan Securities) at
the "Positioning for Profitability in the Video Game Economy"
conference we attended yesterday let on that he had heard that Sony
is working on a flavor of the PSP that includes an internal, 50-
gigabyte hard drive. A prototype of the new portable might be out by
year-end, but mass production of the new device probably would not
happen until next year, he said. Could this mobile multimedia device
viably challenge the iPod?"
This would KILL KILL KILL the Ipod, but there are major drawbacks.
The PSP's battery life is acceptable, but not something to shout
about, and for those who don't know, a hard disc requires spin, and
would drain battery life even more. I am not against PSP, but the
battery life would DRAMATICALLY have to increase, before this was
even thought about.
If it was sorted out and this was released, then we are talking a
super beast, a mega-memory- monster PSP. Capable of easily holding 25
or more movies, thousands of MP3's, and probably the whole saved
games of all PSP's game's ever made

A spectacularly interesting thought!
Wonder how much truth there is in it?
