I was a beta tester for e2sync. I stopped using it once they continued with an upgrade a week. Also, Entourage does not work with Spotlight. Mail is not as robust but it works quite well. In my opinion, e2sync is a waste of money.

Thanks for your reply sapporobaby they were the reasons I decided against e2sync also.

I'm not sure I was super clear about what I was after in my last post.
I'm looking to sync vnotes between my pbook and my phone automatically.

I can send vnotes to my phone using bluenotes (I could probably even automate this if I wrote an applescript) and I can choose send vnotes from my phone using the phone.... but I'd like to be able use my pbook to GET the vnotes from my phone. In the k700i you can't see the notes folder through the btooth manager, so is there another way?

Is there an app or applescript that can do this already?

Mac/W800i/Dreamsicle

Hi there,

Just been through two months of customer service hell over an upgrade (in hindsight, pure comedy - courier vans held up at gunpoint, a £400 bill full of porn, and the company going into liquidation) but lo! finally a phone and the K750i turned into the rather lovely W800i in the process.

Am I the only one having problems getting music onto it? I've read around, copied tracks manually into the "Media files/audio/artist/album" structure using a terminal shell, used dreamsicle, everything, but i'll be damned if i can get a track to show up in the walkman player beyond the awful preloaded selection. I have got by playing music using the file browser from the phone's main menu, but now even that isn't displaying the folders and music that i know are on there (verified through terminal). This looks like the classic case of "it should just work" so maybe I should start again - is it a problem to lose the "System" folder on the memory stick if i format it?

Any troubleshooting tips? Things to look for? Thanks for your time =]

ha! post here after days of being at a loss and it promptly fixes itself. i had turned the phone on and off many times, but what seemed to make the difference was turning the phone on in walkman mode only... no sense to that, and it might just have been the wind changing to the east. but everything works as it should, even the format card option is active.

PhoneAgent worked with my T610 USB cable & Sony Ericsson Z500a

Hi , does anyone know if the T610 USB cable is the same as the "Cingular Data Cable"? And can I get the T610 at radio shack or target or somewhere like that?

thanks

Not sure if it's been posted, but for Dreamsicle users suffering from Kernel crashes (about 99% of us), download this.

FAO Sapparobaby,.
Sorry about the delay, i've been away and not been with my baby (ibook) for a while.
Regarding my K750i as modem problem: I have downloaded the scripts and there is still a problem. I have recently tried my old T630 and now that doesn't work anymore either. It seems to connect fine as a modem but my ibook just can't display the web pages. This phone worked fine before i switched to Tiger. could it possibly be a tiger problem?
I am with O2 on a pay monthly contarct and they are adament that is nothing to do with the phone. i am just a bit tired of the whole thing. o love the K750i and my iBook and it makes me sad that they don't get along!

Hopefully I'm not repeating a question but with over 200 replies coming up to my search enquiry I got a bit bogged down...

After much deliberation, got my W800i yesterday (free on O2 so ahd to change from Voda but hey, what price happiness!!). I don't have bluetooth on my iBook so I guess the first thing I need to do is buy the Bluetooth adaptor.

I've been dumping music on the phone manually but am not getting any artist details, albums etc. They are listed by track only.

Now I'm guessing that Bluetooth isn't going to affect that particular part of the experience? So, what do all you Mac users out there do to get round this? I've tried switching phone on in music mode only blah blah. All the labels are there on iTunes but are lost when I copy them over.

Any ideas anyone? I'm a newbie at hooking up phones to computers...

Btw, luuuuurve the phone and sorry if this is a repeat question!

Sarah

Have you tried Dreamsicle?

I don't have a W800 (just a K750), but I vaguely remember reading somewhere that these phone don't read the ID tags from AAC files properly, only from MP3's (or maybe the other way round).

Try using an MP3 file instead of an AAC file, or vice versa, see if that helps.

Cheers Jools. Downloaded that and it worked a treat, labels appearing and all.

Still love it....

I'm not too keen on Dreamsicle, just doesn't feel right.

The latest version of iTuneMyWalkman, however, is everything I need

Hi Goth

I did look at iTunemywalkman but from what I could see, it acts like the Shuffle in that it replaces the tracks with what you have in your playlist so if you've deleted your playlist.... Is this correct or did I read it wrong? I didn't get as far as downloading it as Dreamsicle seems to work ok at the moment.
