As per my friend from Sun, it is due to the upgrading that they're doing. Told her that they should have sent a text notice to all prepaid subscribers that there will be a "downtime" due to "upgrading" and calls and texts might be interrupted. What happened was they tried sneaking into the system sa madaling araw to upgrade their system. Hoping na ok na pagdating sa umaga. Talking about covering up. If they want full confidence from sunscribers, full disclosure from them is required.

I'm getting out of the office now. Gonna visit a Sun shop and see if there's an angry mob
@steele - My guess is that Sun management hoped to finish the "upgrade" during non-peak hours without any announcement, in order to avoid complaints from 24/7 subscribers. Since 24/7 is time-based, any downtime may be interpreted as wasted load, and 24/7 subscribers may have a right to demand a refund. A frightening scenario for Sun.... |

I agree. ok lang kung isang araw lang e. But 2 days you weren't able use your 24/7, i believe every affected subscriber has the right to demand for a refund. Or maybe at least extend the expiration date, if the system allows such adjustment.
Balitaan mo lang kami kung ano ang bagong excuse nila ha

@steele - I really pity the Sun personnel in the shops. If management gives them a lousy excuse to pass on to the customers, they have no choice but to appear dumb and face the wrath of overworked, overstressed, underpaid subscribers who have just gone through a day of humiliation in their offices....
I'm in SM Manila now. I'll drop by the Sun shop next door later. Right now i'm in a computer shop, busily posting in the Indian thread -- go figure!! |

i find it strange...since around 8am today, almost..ok lahat (95%/around 40 msgs) msg sent ko both SUN and in other networks...and sa calls naman medyo ok din (outgoing and incoming)..this is despite of the systems upgrading thay they are currently doing (which i think had caused chaos to many of the subscribers)...sna lang tuloy tuloy na...

I think what you did was a profile switch, from iText to iSpeak. Your default profile was iText, which allows you to send .50 cents Sun to Sun and 1 peso to other networks. Since you have changed your profile, you will be charged 1 peso Sun to Sun and not .50 cents anymore (if you dony have 24/7). Since you are now iSpeak, i assume, your calls to Sun and to other networks will be at a lower cost..
im not sure with EVERYTHING because i haven't done it myself.

nope i dont tink so.. i thot at first na gnun nga ang mngyayari.. but nde nman,,. stil .50 pa rin ang text ko.. and wat's surprising is neither of the two profiles (i-text or i-speak) ang naactivate ko.. i-speak is profile 1 and i-text is profile 2 (or baliktad).. but profile 3 ang naging active skin.. no such thing ryt?!
nothing peculiar hapend.. same as bfore ang charging..
dami kong frends na nadagdagan ng load..
now dialing 222 returns a "not yet in service" answer.. |
