the v10.1 is more stable than the 2.7 hybrid etc, becuz of the size of the camdrive file ..

the 2.72 is about 40 kb and the 10.1 around 23 kb, that causes the shutdown when u try in video mode becuz of a memory overload, in my case i removed the information lines in je camdrive file, and the problem was solved, hope this will work 4 you people !

i tell yah guys its not about the size... i think the processor of K750 can handle a 15KB difference and its not such a big deal...

i guess it has somethin to do with the phones prepin up... ive seen some sections in the driver that sets the phone up after the shutter opens. its within.. not the size... and both 10s and hybrids 2s version are not quite stable.

and of course others have done this...

- open shutter...
- record a video (10sec will do)
- play the video until it stops...
- close the shutter...
- open it again

this time try to capture a shot if you can...
if your driver fails.. then its unstable..

other torture test for hybrids and 10s drivers...
- with SPOT on: try outdoors... sky, bright clouds (not direct sunlight of course) go get your snap
- without SPOT: same thing... try noontime..

if your driver fails with these tests... then its unstable... but take note! its because it was tweaked up... so its no its usual self. so better take note of the facts that will crash your driver and try to limit the use of your camera on that part... this way youll keep your driver safe from crashes...

good testin guys!

Anyone with MXE-60 tested with v10.1?

My picture taken with MXE-60 seems to be reudced in file size, the biggest I can see is around 385kb or something. Never went more than that

FYI, i try to change the buffer size of image,

from :
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=927C0; // 600 KB buffer for 1632x1244 snap

to :
cam_ss_jpeg_buf_size_8=96640; // 616 KB buffer for 1632x1244 snap

I hope this can help to prevent camera crash.

It's really like that even with unmodified drivers. Pics taken with MXE-60 are much more compressed that pics taken without it.

what is your firmware version? can you please follow the steps below and tell me what happens...

- open the shutter... record a video clip (10 secs will do)
- play the video while the shutter is open, let it finish
- After the video ends, close the shutter
- open it again...

in R1CA, the prob starts there... it wont get back to viewfinder when the shutter opens... it will just slingshot you back to the standby screen.

TIA

It works for me.

W800i RBC002

Hmmm... I wonder if the 2.72 driver will work without that video+night mode camera crash probelm on a W800i?
