It depends on what you need in a phone. If g900 give the services you want then you can stay with it. But if you want a Windows mobile OS,3 inch screen,etc... then go for x1. |

So what are the pros and cons of windows mobile 6.1?? Only WM 6.1..
6.1 has better memory management, threaded sms, Pocket IE zoom out feature, a bit faster than 6.
Basically though very similiar to WM6.

So you're saying HTC and Microsoft sucks then?...
Not at all, big fan of both in their own niche
I am just totally sick of 's shabby attempts at software, and then trying to pass the X1 of as something exciting & new! Its NOT it uses an OS that is due for replacement and someone else's HW!!!
I got flamed when I dared to suggest the panels were slow and not very inspiring and would need all the processor and RAM they could get NOW I see Marc's (dogman) experience with the X1 pretty much backs up my own view.
They have lost their way BIG TIME they are no longer the innovator, instead they just hang onto the coat tails of whatever anyone else is having some kind of success with.......In short they are PATHETIC and going nowhere.

Ok,are you satisfied with the browser, sounds and keypad of your g900? With X1,texting is like using a keyboard so it is faster. Internet,we have opera mobile which is good in browsing for a phone. With music, its good enough but not fantastic.

^^^ It has 512 MB actually. Subtract from that the OS and installed software and whatever data/files you may have loaded or installed. |

When speaking of the panel speed, I believe some poeple speak of either switching between different panel formations (which is actually smooth and fast compared to all the prototype videos), or, actually activating a panel (which is slow to respond and load once pressed).

Actually, no, with music, it's bad not good. Seriously, are we using the same phone? Please, don't mislead people on this aspect of the phone! The Media Experience Panel is Broken in regards to the music player!!! WMP on the other hand is a pain and chore to both get too, and use! Sure music sounds pretty decent coming out of the 3.5 mm headphone jack, but TRYING to use this phone for music listening purposes sucks. My N95 8GB beat this POS hands down in almost every category in regards to the music listening experience! The quality of a music player nowadays is determined by more than just the music coming out of the headphone jack (forget listening to music out of the speaker too btw, it's tiny)... As it currently stands, the X1 as a MP3 player blows.
@ MyP910 the X1 IS slow as a phone, not buts and/or if's about it...
@ ashyk36, keep your current phone. I can't recommend this phone to you on a clear conscience if you seriously plan on using it to listen to music. Your current phone is way better at playing music out of the box than this thing, I promise you.
