Losers all!

The Ekiti Law makers, the Speaker, the "Acting" CJ, the Deputy Gov and of course ex-Gov Fayose.

Losers all!

Now they will have to live in quietness while a new set of ppl more or less complete their term in office. Admin Olurin won't leave until April 2007 after the elections!

I hope the other "rascals" (to use the term Ojukwu used) in Anambra State are taking notes. Baba will just loooove to wield his State-of-Emergency Joker in as many states as possible b4 the elections.

@demmy Long time dude. U still in school or what?

@Angelgirl Sorry my dear. I suggest you use this six months to write and write and write. If you don't have a journal, start one. Put your thots down for your kids and grand-kids. No TV puleese... except of course Brix sends you the DsTV one for ZA.

P

oh boy those politicians are very dead. What's the problem actually? Is it that Fayose does know the Golden Rule Of Engagement or vice versa? This baba's action reminds me of Gorbachev's word's "IF WE DO NOT FIND A WAY TO A PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE, SURELY ONE THING AWAITS US. TO PERISH TOGETHER.
Which state is next?

I think it is the constitution o. Something about "Six months in the first instance" and another three months if necessary.

But was there anything to warrant the S-O-E?
Was there violence?
Was there breakdown of security?
Why didn't the Govt try other options?
Can we say Baba tried to forestall such a drastic action?
Or was he looking ofrward to it?

Who is next? Maybe just Six Assembly-men will remove Dariye next.

What a mess.

@Coola: as a president, you do not have to wait for violence to occur before you take action. There could only have been one outcome of Three Governors each with armed security detail all laying claim to one seat.
Baba had to take pre-emptive measures. Serves them all right.

Oh, come on. we have had far worse situations in Anambra when thugs unleashed violence and burnt government buildings.

I agree with those who say it is selective justice. When "Ibadan Strongman" Adedibu did something similar in Oyo State, no one moved a finger. The Ekiti SOE is "Political corruption", as a Senator from the west called it.

Not to sound like a grinch, but if you have anything to write, make sure at the end it will provide $$$$. A journal for the next gens prosperity is good, but a bank account for them is better!!!

@demm: Congrats! Where are you serving?
