I think that button isn't a button at all, i think its either a place for an operator logo or SE logo as that image above looks like an SE logo

or its the world sign for internet at the touch of a button. Its available on another SE Phone I think the S700 and K300 |

It is a button, now and before. On early prototypes there were nothing printed on it.
It's a special "personal menu" button, not seen before on SE. Highly customizable. |

By any chance, could the Clara be a smartphone ?
We could be seeing SE's own new line of smartphones like Nokias S60 based phones.
That button, could be a Menu key. Or i could just be dreaming.

there will be no series 60 SE phones.
SE would make their own symbian version for non touchscreen phones.

I dont know, it isnt released yet. I wouldnt worry.
There was talk of Clara having a newly developed system, UIQ possibly, possibly symbian, we dont know!
