i would like to suggest to the good office of smartnet that they should also give upgrading services to users of the mc to i units.
yes, they are grey market, but i think total customer service should still be avilable to them. anyway their units are still original sony ericsson units.
maybe in exchange they can charge a bit higher than ususal, maybe 600 php.
it will give them a newer market to earn more revenue at the same time serve more people.

Hello peeps I noticed a bug in the R5A SW. I don't know if some have already experienced it. The bug is this, sometimes when I create a text message, it says "Message saved in unsent" even before it lets me type then it goes out of that menu right away. All I did was to turn the phone off then on again...hmmm.
What do you call the that film...something that you can buy in national bookstore and you can use it as a screen guard? I'm planning to buy a new cover kasi and I dont want it scratched again. Thanks.

Pardon my ignorance.

Grey units pertain to units not purchased from authorized dealers and therefore are not covered by warranty.
They also pertain to units which were not released or specific to the local market (like the t68mc and t68ie with special software packs) and therefore not covered in the provisions of the international warranty.
It would be interesting to note that Sony Ericsson service points in the Philippines ARE NOT BOUND to upgrade mc or ie units. The service extended to these units have been discouraged (to protect SE pricing policy) but tolerated whenever possible.
GM could probably shed more light on this. My reference would be the provisions of the international warranty which comes with every purchase. |

mc and ie units are meant for the chinese market and not the philippines, thus service points here are not allowed/not capable of upgrading such. if you reverse the situation, you bought a T68m unit and you reside in china, taiwan, or hongkong; do you think your unit can be upgraded? |
