i am not trying to be rude, so I apologize if it came off that way.
The purpose of HDR for me is to capture the scene as it truly looks (with enhanced contrast possibly).. but not so much to create all kinds of crazy wild colors.
I am seeing many shots posted here which are not really good candidates for VHDR. The best scenes for HDR are ones where you have ample lighting, and where the camera has trouble exposing part of the scene due to lighting.
Scenes with the sky work best, as the camera lens usually have a hard time exposing the sky, and any foreground object at the same time.
What HDR does is manipulate the image to expose the sky, and the foreground object at the same time, to show the scene as it truly looked without the limitation of the camera lens focusing.
this at least how i am interpreting HDR.. |

Fist one,the second picture is darker,i know is a VHDR but it looks like the ones i fix with the smart contrast, and a little use of the photo dj. Im kind of suspicious that the virtual HDR uses smart contrast and color saturation from the photo dj. |

Hi NEO,
you may be right, but the end result does certainly produce a result that is very "similar" to the HDR images produced by photomatix software.
The VHDR mode also does seem to remove some of the detail as seen by my comparison shot above.
