Thanks for the above input, but I'm aware of what I'm 'missing' and although I suppose it would be handy to some, I'd rather my phone could keep up with me, rather than waiting for it to catch up with me. To me, speed is more important than having software functionality. Hardware functionality is a different matter, because if it had WiFi, a decent camera and a high resolution screen, but kept the speed up as it should do then thats fine.
My opinions on this forum are that of my own and not of the company I work for. |

Well it depends to what you compare it to. If you compare it to a normal phone, it can be described as slow.
Well.. "slow" in the sense that it lags randomly if you try to do more than edit a phone- contact... imo, no. Possibly, it's a bit slower when you start the contact list and the "messages" program. But after that, it's really faster and more predictable than any phone I've used a bit (n7360, n6125, w300, k750). And it's the same every time, when you open a program (which is what you'd expect from a properly implemented symbianOS, I suppose, but still).
It boots slower, though. |

No it's not slower than the N95. Faster than any N-Series device I've ever used. |

For me, I dont care about the GPS or the HSPDA of the N95. I am just wondering if there is a good variety of third-party software for the UIQ? |

According to the P1i review in my-symbian. The P1i graphical performance is worse than N93 a lot. The P1 gaming source is 193 (6.4 fps); the N93 source is 514 (17.1 fps). |

Another concern is the rocker keys? Are they suitable for people with really large thumbs? Better or worse than the M600? Unfortunately, there is no demo dummies of the P1i in O2 shops here in Birmingham.

The keys are concave (apart from the bottom row, which are flat), much like the keys of the M600i. The keypad is better than that of the M600i too IMHO.

im impressed with the battery to the point i have 3G on.
keyboard is definately an improvement over the M600, its the quality feel of the buttons and the back of the phone.
