Thank you sir! I tried it and it works well, but the interface is even clunkier than the standard N80 player sigh. there has to be a way to get the Music Edition players into this thing. Anyone's got insider contact with Nokia?

@ eskaparate, yes the N80 is a great phone,i have been enjoying mine for the past two months or so, i find the Music Player a bit boring, but a great music is LCG JUKEBOX, it has great interface and album art, unfortunetly i dont have the download link for it
@ miss uk, i find the N80 a generally slow phone, but for me its start up is on par with my previous phones ( SE W900) start up time.

there is a new AV player "CoreCodec" that supports many format. You may want to try this also (it runs well on my N95 but not sure on N80). Or you can try ALON MP3 Dictaphone. In my N70, this Alon player outputs much better sound than the built in player.

Yeah the N80 does have macro mode, it is the slider below the lens to use that mode.

@ Dogmann. I don't know why so many ppl diss the iPod - especially SE & Nokia users. Apple makes & mostly design's PURE quality products. Is it any wonder why the iPod became the status quo? Apple has delivered status quo products as simply MERE products. Just like a mortal man is simply just your average day guy - he can do WONDERS if only his mind is set to it and BELIEVE's it can be done without being stopped. Apple always delivers its products first to the Apple ppl because they are the MOST scrutinizing clients in the PC and now the audio business in the "general" public. What Apple delivers BEST is the SYNERGY of technology, products and how ppl USE it. Apple is consistently innovating on the basic concept that Sony just left idle when they had a chance to explode with the Walkman lineup. Sony spread wide and thin but didn't innovate in a MASS scale and had a last-chance with the Hi-MD something I think even with Mini-Disc was incredible (those with an Optical out Sony deck with a recordable Mini-Disc player in 96 would know just how much fun to record & listen to music was. And moreso with a 3.5mm jack cable at HMV kiosks hehe)!
Nokia SAW this long ago and worked with them for the OSS Nokia Browser, many S60 users today STILL don't even KNOW this. Apple had ALL this technology already with the original beta version of the Safari browser and used the OSS Nokia collaboration as a test bed. Nokia refined and tweaked it more themselves and now has memory usuage situations on lower memory products. All that power has GOT to come from somewhere.
I'm still looking for the right balance.
E61i is just too wide for me. I'm eyeing the BB8320 right now but its low on multi-tasking with music and looking at photos (STILL cannot do this simple thing on my BB Pearl, BB Curve that others have so I have doubts with the BB 8320 Curve + WiFi).
N81 is almost perfect but I WANT TV out to view movies that I record in VGA 30fps quality of the silly outtings from dancing all night and route to my friends place for chilling after party music listening. I don't get to do this as often as I used to - family now responsibilities; but the rare time I do I cannot record for funny's. NOT with a BlackBerry and not with the N81 - so I may just pass.
N82 is coming up to bat > and I cannot wait long enough. W960i is perfect for music listening but WHY is SE NOT working on quality Stereo recording??
MANY MANY MANY users of their walkman lineup actually do WRITE and COMPOSE & play their OWN music! SE & Sony have an INCREDIBLE opportunity here but they DON'T work on this or are afraid because of digitial music rights issues.
