After 2 faulty Voda TyTNs I had a really nice SPV M3100 - I can recommend it if you want a TyTN |

1. Easy to unlock (online)
2. Only branding is Today screen, again easy to switch-off

i also like the orange version compared to the voda.
In regards to texting. Its the easiest phone i have ever used. I normally never used to send texts, however, i just cant get enough of it.
Good luck finding one that works perfectly though! |

Changed over from SE for the first time in 4 years. Changed to a T-Mobile Vario 2 (TyTN).
I have had a few teething problems with the phone in the first couple of weeks and had it changed over, this being my thrird Now it works perfectly with none of the outlined problems!!!
I was very impressed with the phone in all ways, especially 3G speed.......until some thing happened?!?!?!?
I spoke to a guy at T-Mobile Customer Services Data department and we got chatting and he said that my account did not have HSPDA activated.
I did not know that this was possible and available and now I am so impressed with this phone I just can't tell you. I'm now getting dowload speeds of about 1.4 Mbps with not even full signal strength!!!! WOW
After swaping from SE I wondered if I should have waited a a little more for the P990i and now I am utterly convinced that it's not even launched and it is already out of date, old technology after seeing my Vario 2 connect at these speeds!!!
I have never been so impressed with a phone in my life!!! |

The guys at AllAboutSymbian have a nice comparison of the P990, TyTn and Nokia E70: http://www.allaboutsymbian.co[....]/Nokia_E70_versus_HTC_TyTN.php |

@ mlittle
the review on allaboutsymbian is not up to date. they mention only 15 fps on the video recording, while the P990i has a 30 fps recording capability. So I guess Mr. Steve Litchfield (review posted on Sept 28th !!!!) needs to do a better job reading the specs?!

I have just returned my 3rd Vodafone 1605. All of them had unresponsive keys on the keyboard. Either the, 'e', ' r' or the 'd' did not work. They were all serial No: 631. I am going to wait a couple of weeks to see if they get a new batch. In the meantime - I'll be looking out for good data deals on Orange. T-Mobile don't have 3G in Hull yet, and don't plan to for another 3 months!!! Otherwise I would be right on web & walk.
Does anyone know if O2 are releasing a version of TyTn? |

I received my TyTN back from the repair centre yesterday. They replaced the screen/digitiser due to the alignment problem which started a couple of weeks after I bought it and having used it since yesterday I'm now happy that I have a perfect TyTN
It took a little getting there but I'm still happier with it that I am the P990.
I have to say though, it was very hard putting my main SIM into the TyTN and puttign my secondary into the M600 which I have been using for the last 8 days. M600 really is a good and usable device!

@masseur
Noticed the alignment problem has been evident on my TyTN recently (lasted a hell of a time without showing it though ehehe) gave them a call and left a message about the screen alignment problem.
What sort of time did the repair take sir...also did you sort it out this way??
