Isnt one of the new features of the new OS the flexability of themes. I was under the impression that it would have the ability for operators to be able to customise the whole interface via themes. Tried looking at the Symbian website for the link but i cant find it! |

BTW, I downloaded the two new themes (black & white) and I can't get them to work. I tried changing the extension to .utz and that didn't help. When I try to open them in the file manager now, it says the file is damaged. How can I get them to work? |

@blasjw - Strange worked fine on my phone. As soon as they downloaded from the SE site, I opened them and they decompressed and installed in the themes menu as expected. |

O-k, I got it now. I had to change my location to the UK (M600i is not released for U.S.) and download the themes directly instead of from "My Content". |

Does anyone know if the M600i supports over the air Outlook integration (calendar, contacts)?
Has anyone tried the Blackberry Connect client on the M600i? How does it compare to a BB 8700?
Also, there's a Skype implementation due for UIQ? Any word on when?
Where is everyone getting the firmware updates? From the SE.com site? |

Could someone who has flashed to the new firmware please check the availability of switching between the GSM Bands, all I have is automatic or manual. I need to lock my phone on 2G signal as I believe the problem I am having with active sync and the loss of signal in my building is causing serious issues for my push email.

With the R1B01 firmware, I also only see automatic and manual. If I click on the more button, there is an option to select network. When I choose that, it searches for a while and then I see Cingular listed twice and I can select which one the two "Cingulars" I want use. But, it doesn't give any information at all about the networks listed - only the name.

No, it doesn't have a radio. The speaker quality is not very good. I haven't tried the bundled headphones yet. I'm planning on using some HPM-70's instead. |

I've reformatted the external memory, switched off the Predictive text & Handwriting and retained only the Music DJ and Quadrapop and the phone's speed has improved quite a bit, in fact most of my complaints about speed have been addressed.
Just wish there could have been some way to disable the menu animations I'm sure it would give improve the device's speed even further.

Hi everyone!
Don't know if you've seen this yet, but SE has released the white paper for M600i here...

@PEZ I am starting to look at my K-Jam at the moment again...its just quite hard to move away from the M600 due to its size.
@ hkanji Yes the M600i does support wireless sync with outlook, and there should be a blackberry client released soon. However I heard that the blackberry client will only be available to certain networks, what does that mean for those who have bought the phone offline?
Found another bug last night, i have two email accounts setup on the phone. My work one, which is via active sync and my personal one via IMAP. When i recieved a new email from my personal account, they appear in the today screen, however they do not appear in the accounts inbox in the messages section. Also when I have read the email (via the today screen) they still stay in the today screen looking as if they have not been read yet. Even if i reset my phone the messages appear to be unread. Anyone else having that problem |

@ gabster
How does the over the air interface with Outlook work? Do calendar entries show up in your today listing? How does it pull down emails from an exchange server? Will it use RPC over HTTPS or do you need some kind of server near your Exchange system (like EMO requires)?

sound reproduction for AAC and MP3s encoded at 128kbps is superb. This is one of the best MP3 players I have used. The speaker on the M600 itself is okay, not really Hi-fi. I have ordered better SE headphones so I'll be able to give you more feedback at the end of the week.
