@pxthomas: 1000 Naira is too cheap a price. Consider this: In South Africa people pay the equavalent of 7560 Naira for DStv's top package which consists 55 channels. For a package of 11 channels you'll pay 3361 Naira.
Right now they're not saying much about pricing but it should come in just slightly below the last figure should the service launch commercially next year...right now it's free in all the major cities except Durban.

TV on m Mobile? Well, that is worth trying.
On second thought, the elite in Nigeria will love that. One more way of showing they are in another class! Especially if they get one bill instead of two.
If Dstv's price was as reasonable as 3k, they would not have had problems here in 9-ja.
@All Any comments on the "Bayelsa Approach" that has claimed the third Governor?

From what I read in Prodigits, Celtel cut-off many subs so that they can continue the GPRS upgrade. Someone confirmed from Celltel CC. But, I trust Amby... he is a secret Celtel Executive Director thats why he was spared. Another example: my Celtel SIM does not support Opera mini, but Amby's own does.
Who wants to receive a Glo mid-night call? No matter how I try, I cannot seem to sleep b4 2am these days.... I really have problems. |

Of my two Celtel lines(acquired to access free GPRS) one still has GPRS while the other line's GPRS has been switched off since Sunday.
@Angel: Hope you are ok and stronger now? Back to work?

Wow six months! When you mentioned corrective surgery I took it to mean slight surgery. Is your company backing you on this ? Anyway we can help?

For those of you clamouring for mobile TV remember you have to buy special handsets for this service, so add that cost to the annual subscription and you'll get an idea of how expensive this can be.
Except of course this service is billed based on usage and not a fixed monthly charge.
@Brix25: The same DsTv bouquet that costs you N7,000+ in S.A. costs N9,500 here, plus most of the features available to you there are not here. See why we complain? |

I hope that is not an example of a high price cos i bet it will cost more than the premium bouquette. Any where north of 10k.

I am not clamouring for it. I am just applauding creative thinking.
