I think jmcomms is right. All Androids so far have been capacitive as far as I know (ok, just read domipost's post, but that is a low end Android and Rachael won't be), and SE have proven in Aino that they can do capacitive. Rachael's interface that we've seen looks to be designed for finger browsing, and we haven't seen any stylus accessories in photos. Capacitive would handle finger use better than resistive, so it is unlikely we'll see resistive on Rachael.
@prom1: The X6 is a different OS, the Cliq has a different version of Android.

You got me on the X6 - but I used to highlight not ALL capactive screens by default give you multi-touch to which i was replying on a statement made by someone else. That said Cliq/Dext is a VALID arguement since the "versions" of Android was not the focus, the focus of the previous page (or a few posts above) was that All Androids thus far have been capacitive and apparantly it is.
Dream, Magic also are capacitive - but Magic (or G1) does NOT support Multi-Touch EVEN with 1.6 updated or 2.0.
Aino has capacitive screen, but at what cost? $699 US over here is WAY too much for a feature phone; its a GOOD phone, but it's design doesn't appeal to everyone; at least it comes with a solid headset and stand.

I agree. Aino is selling for $600 US on sonystyle.com that's just crazy for a feature phone that isn't exactly high end either.
I'm hoping rachael doesn't break the $800 US mark... i don't know if i could justify buying it if it does....

why would you buy something directly from the manufacturer though?? your guranteed to always pay much more than the market price.
i can buy Aino for $570aud... which is about $500usd...
its a very decent price if you ask me consdering the early launch prices of both c905 and w995...
sure its not a smartphone. but apart from that. it has everything imho. and the options to connect it to ps3 and access all your files on there, and watch live tv via play tv, as well as wireless file transfer... no other phone offers that.

I was able to transfer pictures, video, and files from my SE K850i over bluetooth to the PS3 80GB with PS2 compatibility early last year. Although some files couldn't be read by the PS3 the fact that they where there disproves your last paragraph statement. Live TV is great but not everybody wants that. Touch screen isn't usable throughout the system (A2) and I'm unsure if 3rd party dev apps have access to its API. Again great phone, but will it appeal to more even if the price drops say $200US (current exchange rate value) from initial release price?
Any other news of Infinity?

It is very similar. the circles are flipped though (big to the left, instead of right). But infinity is infinity .. how can you trademark a mathematical symbol?

I have never been this excited about an SE phone since the P910i!
I know I am going to enjoy having this phone. As long as the processor is what's been floating about then it is all mine.

I believe it was, but if rumours are to be believed, we will see Rachael on the market in early 2010, probably January or February.
