@786KBR: In Cape Town it's worsened by the fact that sizable group of guys here just happen to be gay.

Honestly, the only reason I would love free gprs is to listen to streaming audio...I don't care about the other things these kids seem to go nuts about.

I second that motion, Brix, i'd hook up free gprs specifically for streaming audio too. Virtual Radio has some awesome channels!

@786, good angle there with the coins. I've been collecting coins and notes for years myself. There's a sizeable market for them here too, as a visit to bidorbuy.co.za would confirm. I've done some very nice deals there too Some coins and notes are well worth buying, as a long-term investment...

@Coola, hang onto those clippings boet, the day may well dawn that somebody would pay good cash for them.

Yeah... I hope to write a series on the History of GSM in Nigeria.... done the first year (2001-2002), but I have been too distracted to complete the second year.

@brad: There are apps like RadioBee for java-based phones. Only snag is although I've heard people say it worked for them it has never worked on my phone. What makes VirtualRadio brilliant is the varied choice of stations.
The Vodacom4u APN was never free, checked it out the other day.

Is it actually available at Vodacom or was it some import?
What exactly do you like about it?

Its the first with a 2year warranty!!
It is now available at Voda monday I think. (N91 and N71 and N80 and HSDPA Samsung and some others all available)

Theres so many mmmmmmm

Ok what I dont like, I said before no mem card, the radio option is hidden in another menu, made a fool of myself when my sis said theres no radio and I couldnt find it, but I did eventually...
The normal k750 headsets...

The flippin branding!! It has the normal excessive Vodafone branding that cant be deleted, but now Vodacom joined in and nows theres meerkat pictures every where!!!
i managed to delete 15Mb of branding crap....

Although the new Vodafone menus are kinda cool theyv added more colours and a cool little car profile, with the car profile logo on top..

What else... mmmm ?
Im still getting used to stuff, but for mxit its good!! Copy and paste features... nice smilies and a preview option...

@780KBR: Congrats on the awesome phone. You can pick up a set of walkman earphones (hpm-70) at makro for R220. Vodacom and musica have them for R400. If you don't wanna wait for the memory card, check out ebay. Prices are reasonable. I order stuff all the time. Anyway enjoy the phone. Btw did you know the k800 has a 220mhz processor and can multitask 3 or more java applications. Cheers

@786KBR: Yeah, it can multitask java applications. With the new Java Platform they have developed some sort of java virtual machine. The k800 hardware is actually very powerful, that's why it can process images so fast. You say the phone is heavily voda branded. did they replace the activity menu and web browser shortcut keys with the red and green call keys? That would be a real shame as it takes away some of the functionality of the device. Any idea when Vodacom are gonna release the 6234? Cheers

Who will post the 6666th reply on this thread?

@786KBR: What's the cash price or did you sign a new contract.

Seriously I don't know why Vodafone insists on branding phones...I mean, if their Vlive portal was that good everyone would be using it and buying stuff off there. But common sense dictates that you head for Google when you need the latest games/tones. I don't know any sane person who actually bought content from Vlive/Exactmobile...R15 for a ringtone...getouttahere

When a beautiful phone is branded all over with a silly meerkat it takes away the fun of owning a new phone. MTN guys are probably reading this and they know can't go beyond wallpapers when it comes to branding their phones.

Brix its on my company line, but I think its would be free on a T240 contract.... At its current price...

@ Jits which buttons are u referring to, the same buttons are there just that they added the green and red to the normal buttons.

Yeah Id like to know if the MTN guys get memory cards...
