hello everyone a little update on my newest psp games.... maybe some would call it a mini review....
Lumines - Superb Tetris 'STYLE' game with such colourful and wonderful music done by Japanese artists who some of u may of heard about including one going by the name Cornelius (i got all his albums he is superb at making noise out of anything!).... This game is very addictive and upto now i have gained 4 new skins for the game which i think is good but i know is very poor!
Ape Academy - Again very amusing to play but relies heavily on japanese text so some of the mini games are near impossible to play if u arent fluent in japanese....
Metal Gear Ac!d - Again this is a very good game in both graphics and gameplay but is quite difficult as it relies on heavy text (only in japanese) so is quite difficult to play very well.
Ridge Racers - U all know about this great game!
Dynasty Warriors - I love this game and it is dead easy to pick up an play... Warning though! Every single menu item is in japanese so is very difficult to pick up an play straight away if u havent played this style of game before....
Hope this helps some people make a decision...

I know the japanese games are region free. But region locked games is a decision made by the developer but it would be stupid to lock games for a "portable" machine which is why i hope they will not lock it

As we know several of us have RidgeRacers and all have Japanese menus (to a certain extent). I think most is pretty simple but there may be some things people don't know such as saving replays and ghosts.
So here is a pic of my effort at the translations, hope someone finds it useful:
I'd be interested to know how accurate or inaccurate they are if anyone can actually read the Japanese

I know this was ages ago, but I just read it now... Do you guys realise that this is really just in English? Its just using Japanese characters!! (Aside from yes and no, which are "Hai" and "Iie")
If you just learn Katakana you should have no problems interpreting what it says. And Katakana is actually really easy to learn... (I did it in an hour or two...)

Perhaps you could comment on whether it is an accurate translation then

YYYYYAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!
With many many thanks to our man in Japan, themarques, I finally have my PSP - after spending 3 days finding out exactly why Parcelforce are the WORST courier service the world has ever seen, I have, at long last, got my hands on it.
Now just have to count down the seconds till 6pm when I can go home and start playing with it, but in the meantime, I would just like to say...
...what a beautiful piece of work this baby is.
In terms of that feeling-when-you-open-the-box factor, it blows away my previous favourite toy (my P910i) - ooh the shiny black newness of it all....
