If you have a Generic k700i phone then you can still do the update. Also Orange k700i phones now also update with out problems.

You updated an Orange-branded K700i using the SEUS last night? I tried at about midnight and got the message:

Your operator does not approve the use of this service with this device.
We look forward to assisting you again soon.
Thank you for using the Sony Ericsson Update Service

I tried again this morning and received the same message. |

Hi hazart!
I hoped if SEUS has been renewed, it doesn't mean only "new design", it hides some improvements too.
I wonder when and how we will get our frames back... A reflash didn't help me at service centre. I still have a damaged frame. SEUS can't help. SE remains silent... |

After upgrading my phone a couple of weeks ago to R2AE033, although I did not experience any probs as such, there were a few error messages in the log. Additional attempts to flash returned an operator denied error (although SIM free phone).
With news of recent success, I tried again last night and a new firmware package was downloaded v1.38 instead of 1.37. This went in with similar errors on the log but I flashed it again and it went in fine.
Looks like the SEUS is sort of working again....phew. |
