Hello all!

I'm from Brazil but I'm currently on a Work and Travel Program here in the US. I bought a T68(m) cell phone from VoiceStream (T-Mobile) over Amazon.com, but it came locked. What I want to do is:

1) Unlock it, so I can use the SIM card I brought from Brazil;
2) Upgrade it to the latest T68i firmware;

So far I've found out that I need:

1) Flashing Cable;
2) Software (ericcson workshop client);
3) Credits?
4) Firmware file;

Can you help me on how and where do I get the first 3 items? The 4th I already have the link.

Just one more thing: I'm over Flagg Ranch Resort right now, wich is in the middle of nowhere, 2 miles south of Yellowstone, and I'll be here for a while, so if there's anyway I can get these over here, plz let me know.

I think you guys have misjudged unlocking.net (unlocking.co.uk) I just purchased the log today (1/8/03) on paypal and about 10 minues later I received the email with username and password. Believe it or not they really offer quick service. I got my volume listening stuck at 0 after follow through with the guide on this forum I was able to flash my phone to t68i using firmware R5C000. I haven't fully tested all the features and commands to see which one isn't working right but I know one thing is that the people from unlocking.net (unlocking.co.uk) are quick and help me right away when I ask for questions. The email that i used to get to them is logs@unlocking.net

I'm not on here to advertise for unlocking.net but just a little justice for there honesty and quick service. I thank you those of you posting guide to help me fix my problem and appreciate all your help.

Waikincheng: I just got a T65i from Hong Kong that is Traditional Chinese and then upgrade to R5D007 in Shenzhen for Simplified Chinese. I purchase one credit from VirtualDynamix and try to back up this Simplified Chinese ROM. I get the T28 cable and hook up to T68ie, but it just boot the T68 automatically and not just as instruction to type "No" key. After connecting to server, it report error message : error while entering boot mode. Do you know how to fix that problem? I really want to get this Simplified Chinese AVR/ARM since I cannot find it from internet.

If you got your credits from Unlocking or VirtualDynamix, then there are some bugs on the UK server. The same error was happening for me until they switched me over to the Thai server. After that, my phone updated fine with no errors.

I purchase the credit (US$10)from VirtualDynamix but they refuse to restore the credit I lost due to this error of server. Now I decide to purchase other credit from Unlocking.net at US$8.00 and ask them to switch to Thai Server and re-work.

VirtualDynamix just sell your credit and do not credit you when you lost the counter because the fault of server, so you should care that.

I have a newbie question. I have read this thread completely and I 'm still confused about something.
What is a log? What exactly are you paying for? I'm sorry if I'm missing something obvious.
Thanks,
Steve

Does anyone know if unlocKing's paypal address has changed now with the new website, or is it still sales@unlocking.co.uk ?

I want to buy some logs, but my brother is going back to London tomorrow and wants his phone upgrading before he goes, so I wanna pay asap & hopefully the username & password will be waiting tomorrow morning.

Hello everyone,

I have been reading thought this post for two days now.

One, I would like to say that this is a great forum! Thanks to all of those who have posted their knowledge and experiences with flashing.

Second, through out this post I really haven't seen what the improvements are from one sw upgrade to another. If possible, could some one detail it out for me.

I have th att T68i.

Please help!
I have been reading this forum for quite sometime, and I have a problem that I can't find an answer too.
I have a t68m that I flashed a while back to rc5001 (att) to make it a t68i. This worked fine, battery life was unchagned etc. However, I never used bluetooth before today. I got a new BT400 headset and tried to discover it. The blue light blinks but I finds no devices.
I tried to flash to the new r6a and the results were the same. I also shut off bluetooth and IRDA prior to flashing and that didn't help.
I took out the battery while at the main screen (hard reset), put it back in, turned off bluetooth and IR, then hard reset again like some have suggested and still it does not work. Any other suggestions? (I am going to try to find someone with an unaltered t68 or toher bluetooth phone to test the headset on to make sure it is working).

Please help if you have any ideas!

Thanks
