Why are people saying that the price will be over $1000 for the first months?! I thought I remembered SE saying that the price would be the same as P910, or probably even cheaper. When the P910 first came out, it was only about $750 USD unlocked. If SE sticks to what they said, then they should offer it for about that much or less at first. So why would I order one from someone at $1000 when I could get it directly from SE for cheaper? Just wondering if anyone agrees or if the price has gone up for some reason...

P.S. How did you get that P990 avatar masseur? It looks great! [addsig]

the avatar is a privilige of being a moderator I guess. something similar will be available to all around the time that the P990 is available

the thing about pricing is that may have said what you mentioned, but retailers will know initially that there will be demand and so hike the price. Once the supply is freely available then the prices will normalise to the levels suggested by

thats my guess anyway and thats what has happened previously with the p series

Yeah it'd be nice to have some user made themes by the time the phone is out. It won't be by me either tho, as I'm a game developer not an artist :)

Mobile world does seem to be a bit scammy. I've seen them advertising phones long before they're out anywhere. :/

They probably do some reputable selling but for a p990, it's very doubtful.

Mobile World is a scam. The seller would not send me a picture of the P990 in the retail package.

I haven't seen these links posted in this thread yet, so I thought I'd include them. Here are lots of photos http://www.newmobile.nl/eur/nl/photos.php?phone_id=159eb23. Here are some videos that provide lots of entertainment http://www.newmobile.nl/eur/nl/videos.php?phone_id=159eb23.

I am going crazy waiting for this phone. It better be coming soon. [addsig]

some of those pics are ones I took the day after the P990 was announced, which I posted in the "Sony Ericsson P990i live pics from the Smartphone show"

I have found these pics in so many sites now (its quite nice really)

there are plenty of flip-off pics in the P990 product pages and actually, this is the first P series that I do actually prefer the flip-off!
