It's 1.17am and I'm partying like it's 1999.
A former co-worker celebrated her 30th birthday...her father just happens to be a big honcho at Investec.

LOL, I remember that Prince song. We're currently at Heathrow Airport, waiting for family to appear through Terminal 1's international arrivals. As expected, there is a very strong police presence. Blue foam mats, used as makeshift beds and floor seating, are scattered all around the check-in points' peripheries. Heathrow's a good hour and a bit through early Sunday morning traffic to get to our humble abode...

Unlike you two i haven't touched a drop this weekend, been too tired. Attended a cousin's wedding in Alicedale, just outside Grahamstown. Some wedding photos were taken at Bushman Sands, and i must say the place looks really stunning after the rains. Brix, where did ya post your pix, boet? I think i'm having a blonde day, can't seem to find their location...

Same here.
Nice pics, brixster! I particularly like the water's edge and and pigeons in the park pics. Nice the way the light filters through the park and pigeon's quill feathers, and picks up the detail on the paving edges, particularly on the full-size view.
Nice to see such creativity in action.

Thanks guys. I think I've mentioned before that the N70's camera is not quite up to the high standards set by the K750/W800. It's just about reasonable.
Just off topic, the other I was discussing with 786KBR about the impending release of the K618...well funny thing happened recently, although Vodacom approved the K610 for use on it's network chances are slim that it will ever be available instead they'll be offering the rather ugly fully-branded V630.

@Rhino8
Congratulations!!!!!!!!!!!!

Can anyone tell me what kind of restrictions the VLive software has put on the w810? (Yes I'm back on that again)

Also is there anywhere I can take the phone to unbrand it? Vodacom said I can do it but will void my warranty. And I don't really care about the warranty. I've had so many phones and only 1 (nokia) ever had to be repaired.

' Hoi everyone!

' Still only have intermittant access to the Web and what-not - and with the kinda traffic the threads I read get it generally means doing 99% catch-up and MAYBE 1% replying!!!
' Anyways. Thought I might mention that my insurance finally got back to me and signed-off replacing my stolen P900. Only thing is that they informed me that their suppliers had told them that the replacement for the discontinued SonyEricsson P900 was / is the Nokia 9300!!!
' I VERY quickly pulled 'em up short on that one and kindly informed them about the release of the P990. I'm waiting for them to come back to me now with their heads straightened out hopefully.
' Kewl thing being that I should have me a P990 as soon as there's stock - and for the price of my excess only. WOOHOO!!!!!!!

' It'll mean finally having access to the Net again too. Hallelujah!

' Later all,
' ~Moi

@Rhino8: I knew you were quite serious, didn't know you were THAT serious to actually contemplate wedded bliss. Congrats man...I'm still far off from this incredible feat, I've got a lot of growing up to do and way more women to meet.

@Siosal: Honestly chief, I don't know the sort of restrictions Vodacom have placed on the W810i but you can search the forums to see what Vodafone did with the UK version.
The biggest issue in the past with Vlive branded handsets was the inability you had to use mp3's as ringtones but I can confirm that is something of the past as I ca use any mp3 as a ringtone.

Thanks brix.

I heard that some people overseas still had the mp3 and mp4 restrictions on their handsets (Mostly orange, but voda was also named). Obviously that would be a bit of an issue.

I didn't realise that the N series was branded. Yours would actually be the first nokia I have heard of to be branded.

But thanks again for the reply.
