Well, when did Sony had his own press release and announced a new phone that was really high end and nog announced before?
Again, I can't say anymore, as I'm an employe, sorry.
Honestly when did Sony have a phone that was really high end before the xperia Z arrived? I don't consider the arc S or arc or even the phones that ended with the xperia V as "really high end" since for me, they didn't really wager the same kind of awe as the high end competitors. Sure there was the satio, I remember when that debuted, awesome looking phone, really wanted one but then announced in February and released in October
Sony before kazuo hirai took over was the old Sony, sure stringer brought in some changes, but hirai is changing Sony so much more now, and hopefully by 2014 the company will operate more as one rather than as separate entities with no communication between divisions.
Sony could easily do its own "unpacked" event if not before a major show, then easily back home in Japan. Sure a debut at IFA is logical but so I'm sure many new things will be announced there and it would be in Sony's interest to debut before their competitors, like they did with the xperia Z. |

I'd want them to host a solo right after Samsung's and Apple's. I'd want Sony to kill the hype these guys would create and introduce to the world their new beast. But Rubenos' teasing points out that they are gonna go for an exhibition for their big announcement. Let's just see how it would go. |

Phablet will use JDI panel. Same as the Ion/TX screen quality and specifications wise. So viewing angles still not "stellar"
And the 4K TVs are way cheaper than I thought. I had decided to be content with 55W900A but now I'm definitely getting the 55" X900 4K beast for my birthday

Yeah, I want a 4K TV too, but I think I'll hold off until the prices of super large ones come down, or until 4K OLED becomes a reality for consumers. Of course I'll still hope CLED will become a reality
In the meantime, I think I'll get this set in the near future for my bedroom:
KDL50R550A

When the PS4 comes out, I'll be putting my PS3 in my bedroom, so it'll be great to have this set.

@moogoo
Even with the lack of native 4k content, Sonys upscaling tech kicks ass and will improve all other content |
